Very fun place, with the wait staff very helpful. Went and asked if was unsure. Gluten free item clearly marked on menu. Had the Seafood Mofongo and it was delicious!!!! I am Celiac and would definitely eat there again.

What a fun place. Waiter very helpful with items that were available gluten free. I had Mofongo with Mahi Mahi It was fabulous! We ate here a few times with no problem.

Had the cob salad with grilled shrimp instead of chicken due to a garlic allergy as well and gluten sensitivity. Chef prepared me my own dressing for the salad, it was delicious. Staff is knowledgeable and willing to help!

This place was ok, staff was knowledgeable. Limited options but mofongo GF. Some menu items labeled GF that aren’t (for example plantains are deep fried and no GF fryer). We were told their burgers have bread crumbs.

Great food all around, GF clearly marked on menu and many choices of all courses. I had Mofungo which was delicious. Also great view!

We really enjoyed eating here while during our stay on Vieques. Had the steak and paella and both were delicious. Didn’t get sick either time!

Practically no options for a healthy meal. But you can eat GF here. Vegan/vegetarian is doable but not terribly interesting (cobble together sides). Paella (which has chicken and seafood) was only a 2/5.

Good solid place to eat while in Vieques. Nice open seating. Gluten free items are clearly marked. Service was really good 2/3 times we were there. Third time a waiter recognized us and really picked up the slack. Food was tasty and has a pretty good selection. Definitely must try while staying here.

Emailed ahead of time about onion/garlic in items (i’m primarily kow FODMAP) and the paella was recommended. I informed the waitress, who had to confer with the kitchen staff, but they were able to get it done and i did not get sick!

It was really busy, waitress was in a big rush and didn’t take the time to answer questions. Most I could get out of her was that the paella is cooked in it’s own pan so it’s safe. Paella was marked as Gf on the menu so I decided to try it. I had a gluten enzyme pill prior to eating ( idk if it actually does anything but figure it doesn’t hurt). The paella was really good especially the shrimp that was in it. Ate the entire plate ( not huge portions) and didn’t get sick at all!

I’ve had lunch at Bananas twice now and the mofongo is GF and amazing! There are a few items marked as GF on the menu, but your server can tell you about modifications to other items. Love coming for lunch during a beach day!

Was able to try GF mofongo! Fun place and ate there twice without getting sick. Highly recommend if you are on Vieques.

Yummy food, clearly marked gluten free on the menu, and knowledgeable staff. They are willing to sub items on the menu if you want. Expensive but worth it!

Pre marked menu and food is delicious. Do expect tourist pricing.

The only menu with clear GF selections on the menu that I have seen here. The menu was huge; I could possibly eat here every night and be happy with all my options. The seafood mofonfo was life changing. The staff were extremely personable and fun.

The menu has many GF options identified. The food was awesome and the coconut flan was wonderful.
