Stopped here during a roadtrip. I am celiac and so is my daughter. Lots of options and a gluten free menu. We had the chicken. Potato salad, green beans and apple sauce were the sides. Friendly staff. Recommend!

We were traveling and so hungry. Thought we would try this restaurant. They had lots of gluten-free options. Staff was knowledgeable about gluten allergy; felt safe. The food was incredible. We are from Kansas City area who has some of the best barbecue in the country. Well, this barbecue was as good as KC barbecue. Smoke was done well. Try this place.

Ordered a baked potato for carryout, loaded. Butter & sour cream were on the side, as was the dry chicken I chose as part of it. It came with melted "real" cheese on it (as opposed to a cheese sauce), BUT THEY STUCK TWO HUGE SLICES OF GARLIC BREAD IN THE BOX WITH THE POTATO!!! Ugh!!! So. Frustrating!!!
Also got a side of potato salad- too sweet for my taste. Coleslaw was good, but felt "glutened" afterwards - and because they screwed up my potato, it was all I ate, other than the bite of too sweet potato salad.
My dinner ended up being a KIND bar and a Haggen Daas vanilla ice cream cup from the hotel lobby market. Boo.
When I walked in & asked if there was a gluten-free menu, the hostess had one ready to hand customers. When the server, Petronillia, came to the table, I explained I was celiac. She was friendly, very knowledgeable & efficient. When I ordered my food she made sure I knew that there would be no bread. She also made sure I knew all 6 sauces were gluten-free. The food was hot, tasted wonderful & I loved being able to try all the sauces! This location was my first time eating at a Bandanas. It will not be the last one! When I take the road trip from Virginia to Kansas City, this will be my stop for food. (And having lived in KC, I’m picky about my bbq! LOL)

This was my second time stopping by during one of my road trips. During the first visit the manager came out to the table to make sure my order was safe. This one I ordered to go. Everyone was equally as helpful and no problems afterwards. It tastes delicious too!
Came in for a gluten free meal as advertised. evidently the staff doesn't understand what gluten free means. The meal looked good. The part that is not cool. Is staff put a piece of garlic toast on top of meal. Therefore not gluten free. It touched other food.
Told them I was celiac. Ordered from the gluten free menu. Meal showed up with bread on top. So I told them I couldn’t eat it and would get sick. They took it back and just took the bread off and sent it back. So I still would of gotten sick. Just ate my sides and left the contaminated food.

Tried the soup on the gluten free menu and explained that I have celiac disease and needed them to be extra cautious. The next morning I woke up with the rash and nerve pain that I always get after eating gluten. This place is not safe for celiacs.

omgosh delicious! The staff was very nice especially considering we showed up an hour before closing. All their bbq sauces are gluten free and the meat is real country bbq since they have their own smoke house that just draws you in. amazing

Pork bbq lunch with loaded baked potato and green beans-yum! Usually I worry when ordering gf over the phone, but the lady I talked to was very reassuring, knowledgable and made me feel sure everything would turn out right. Food was great, didnt get any hint of sick, will definately be back!

When I asked the waitress if they had a gluten free menu, she enthusiastically replied that they did and produced what I thought to be an extensive gf menu for my corner of the world.
The food was hot and tasty. The wide selection of BBQ sauces were all gluten free.
I learned there is a location in Carbondale, IL, and I will visit that location when I'm there.
Ok food, got the nachos and so far have felt good. Good sauces. A notch on it would be the fruit flies that we're going around our food.

Great service from Megan. Almost everything BBQ is GF, including 6 sauces. Fabulous value, huge portions and everything tastes great.

I found this little gem while driving along I-64 towards Missouri. The smell was awesome and staff was super friendly. I timidly asked if they had anyone come in with gluten allergies expecting a blank stare and what I got was an enthusiastic yes and they have a specific gf menu and most everything here is gf! The portions were large and reasonably priced. I had the pulled chicken and pulled pork with sweet corn and loaded baked potato. I was in heaven with my first bite. Everything was absolutely mouthwatering. Several sauces to chose from too. I am so glad I took a chance and stopped by.

Some choices. I triple check on safety. I did not have a reaction but it’s definitely a place you need to pay attention to getting safe food. Staff would benefit from training
