Bangkok 96 Street Food

Ordered this for takeout, was worried because there was no detail of what the marinade was for what I ordered (candied beef and broccoli) but trusted the positive reviews and did some thorough investigating on google maps images lol. Ultimately tasty and no reaction, which is all I care about haha.

I ordered right before they closed & was worried they’d scrape together old food but to my surprise everything was extremely clean, fresh, and delicious. I got the Thai hot chicken and it was amazing!! It’s now in my top 3 favorite options in the metro Detroit area.

Chef has celiac and makes her own breading/batter for the fried items. Highly recommend!!

I had the Bangkok 96 at the shipping company. Loved that I could enjoy a delicious meal while my family had a choice of their favorites with all the options there.

I had multiple chicken dishes here plus their mango rice dessert. Never had an issue!

I was able to eat here but had the grilled chicken. The owner did tell me they also fry the gluten spring rolls in the fryer so the fryer is not safe. Food was good.

I believe it’s the owner of this establishment that has celiac and has done a great job of training the staff. The small prep space has always made me nervous about CC but I’ve eaten here probably a dozen times and have never gotten sick. One time, they were closing down early because it was a slow evening and had stopped taking orders, but they went out of their way to make sure my family and I could eat and prepared us a meal anyway. I was very grateful for that. The food always tastes great too.

I asked about their fryer and they said all the batter they use is GF, so fried things are safe! I had the fried broccoli and fried chicken rice and it was amazing. I did not get sick either. Can’t wait to go back and try more of their GF options!

Huge tempura shrimp in a dedicated fryer?? YES! Genevieve took great care of us ( 3 celiacs) lots of GF options. Most of their menu is GF. Fun atmosphere at Detroit Shipping Co. we will be back.

Had their pho and macarons and left feeling so satisfied. Great location and friendly staff. They have several other GF options on their menu. I didn't ask about their fryer.

Located inside of Detroit Shipping Company. The menu has lots of yummy options that are either naturally gluten free or can be made that way upon request. I enjoyed a Thai Pizza and my husband had a pad Thai roll, but there are other options as well.
