The two dessert I saw were in a case with gluten . And sitting under the tray with gluten goodies😲 . We did not get anything due to that! That was a red flag ⛑ to me that they do not understand GF safety.
Delicious fritters and refried beans! Staff is very knowledgeable, but they do use the same bread slicer for GF and wheat bread so it's not celiac safe.

This place was great! Originally ordered mushroom and beet toast on GF bread but staff asked if it would be a problem since the GF bread is sliced in the same slicer as regular bread. Ended up getting this in a bowl instead of on toast. Felt good about knowledge with cross contamination and there are still good options for GF people. Food is delicious too!

Nice little cafe spot. Breakfast sandwich is good huge bread slices. Orange slice cake is rich, maybe too much zest.

Very kind. They had GF toast. My son appreciated that and said it was good in addition to the scrambled eggs.

This place is so cute! They have gluten free bread. I got the breakfast sandwich on gluten free bread and it was so good. They also have a couple gluten free pastries. I got the gluten free chocolate cake.

Banksia is one of my favorite lunch spots downtown! The staff has always been extremely attentive to my gluten & dairy allergies and asks with the kitchen and makes additional notes on my order every time. The gluten free bread for the sandwiches is thick and fluffy, and they have gluten free pastries! (None are dairy-free so I haven't tried them myself, but the flourless spiced orange cake always catches my eye in the window).
