Went on a Saturday morning for brunch. Our server let us know one of the menu options was unavailable (Jambalaya grits), okay. Three in our party (4 total), ordered the Mediterranean Benedict, but were told they were out of the fried feta base of the dish. I then switched to get the pork belly Benedict, which the server stated was not all pork belly but a 50/50 split of pork belly and bacon, as they were modifying multiple menu items in advance of an August 20th menu change (it was July 29). It was stated repeatedly during ordering that I am gluten-free. We ordered the premium bottomless mimosas, and were not told they were out of one of the juices (mango) that were included in the price until we asked where it was. Additionally, the “blood orange” juice was saturated with food coloring. My pork belly Benedict arrives and there is no pork belly whatsoever, only bacon, and 4 slices of marble rye toast are placed across the dish. I asked where the pork belly is and they said they were out, so I asked for another menu as I didn’t want to have a pork belly Benedict without pork belly, and be charged for pork belly. I ended up ordering eggs and bacon since I didn’t trust the kitchen at this point, and I knew they had eggs and bacon. The server was very understanding and kind, and did not charge me for the “pork belly Benedict” that I did not touch and sent back, but I will not be returning to this establishment. Changing multiple menu items over 3 weeks before a menu change with no update on the patrons’ menu, repeatedly not mentioning absences in food items, and disregarding my gluten allergy are all unacceptable, and I would strongly advice anyone away from this establishment.
