Was heartened by the reviews here, so agreed to go with a group of coworkers. When I asked the waitress if they had anything gluten free on the menu she said they can make most items gf just have a list of a top two or three choices and she’d let me know what the kitchen says. So when we ordered, my top choice was the risotto with lobster, I’ve made risotto at home and know the basic ingredients so it should be easy enough. So she said that’s one of the ones that’s good to make gf and that she’d ask the kitchen to watch out for cross contamination. Awesome. Ate it, it was delicious, had afogato for dessert (espresso and gelato) she said that one is already gf, naturally. 20 minutes later I had to run to my hotel (I do not mean that figuratively, I literally had to run). I know the exact set of symptoms when I’ve been glutened and this was a hard hard glutening. Like not from cross contamination, but from some major Ingredient (not to be gross but all villi were decimated) shame because it was such a delicious meal, I’d like to chalk it up to happenstance of big cross contamination, because she mentioned they’d be careful. Regardless, I cannot recommend.
