Everything is marked on the menu so it's super clear and there's a TON of options - indicates vegan, vegetarian, gluten free, contains eggs, contains dairy, etc. Plus dedicated fryer. And it was absolutely delish! Highly recommend!

Very good food, everything is labeled and easy to follow. TONS of options! Just beware that it gets very very busy after 6:30 on the weekends!

We had lunch at Barrio the Saturday during 4th of July weekend and it was a great experience! We had 10 people in our party, including one with celiac disease and our waiter was knowledgeable about what she could and could not have (the only items containing gluten were the flour tortillas, I believe). The way they have you order with pads of paper also makes it easy to make sure allergen notices get to the kitchen. Everyone enjoyed their tacos and the service was efficient. Highly recommend for celiacs and non-celiacs alike!

This is my FAVORITE restaurant in Portsmouth. Tons of gluten free options and they are great about making them in a separate safe area. Highly highly recommend!

Didn’t get sick! Cool menu nice to be able to have chips but was not impressed with the taco flavors.

Chips, salsa, guac, and queso were excellent starters and confirmed gluten free. I had three custom-made tacos on corn tortillas that were great, I highly recommend the shrimp! Margaritas are also good! Zero reaction, Celiac safe, and a good selection. I would highly recommend!

The staff was very knowledgeable about what and wasn’t celiac safe, and the waitress went to double-check on her own. Lots of options, and the chips and queso are amazing!

The food here was great! All of the menus items were very clearly labeled as GF or not and you can build your own tacos to your liking. The specialty tacos were all made with flour tortillas, but the staff was very accommodating and willing to swap out with corn to make GF. Decent wait to get a table, but once seated the food came out very fast.

Service was the worst part of the whole experience, long wait, bill confusion, and they accidentally charged a friend $84 for a $12 bill. Wait staff is uneducated about ‘gluten free’ and said the chips were gluten free but fried in a shared fryer. Then she checked and they only fry gluten free products. So having chips at the start was really nice. My tacos were not made to order, missing several ingredients requested. I am a small person and after eating 3 tacos I was still hungry because they were so small and had not much filling. Three others with me also left hungry. On the bright side I didn’t get sick
