My friend Holly and I did a little axe 🪓 throwing at Base Camp, and decided to have dinner there. Since I have Celiac disease, I was skeptical of the menu possibilities. The chef came out and talked to me about options. He made safe salad dressing for me, which is impressive enough, but wait...I was going to skip the French fries, since they do not have a dedicated fryer (one that hasn’t also had breaded stuff cooked in it, which makes us Celiacs sick). He heated oil on the stove top and made safe French fries for me! I’ve been to some pretty upscale restaurants in Boise, and no chef has gone to this much trouble for me. By the way, axe throwing is fun (like darts on steroids) and if you play ping pong, they chase down the errant balls for you.
