Basil Bandwagon Natural Market

Contamination—My experience that I want to relate will show you how little care is actually taken at Basil Bandwagon stores especially where safety is concerned. One of their NJ stores sold us “contaminated” organic toothpaste. Even the toothpaste boxes smelled foul. When we reached out to the owner, he pretended he would handle our concern.

He mailed us two replacement tubes of toothpaste “but” those tubes were also contaminated even worse; their foul vapors could be smelled right through the box they were mailed in. When I complained the second time on his Facebook page, this owner somehow removed my post and deactivated my ability to communicate with them online. That’s where his focus is. Not with customer safety!! BEWARE. He also indicated that he missed a few—which indicates culpability, Yet, he mailed us more of them that were more noxious smelling.

This place is awesome! They do not have a gluten free menu but any sandwich can be made with gluten free bread or wrap. Both of their soups today (root soup, split pea soup) were gluten free and vegan. Plenty of vegan & vegetarian options
