This has always been one of my favorite restaurants since I was a kid. Returning for the first time since being diagnosed with celiac was scary. I called ahead and spoke with one of the female owners/managers. She assured me they offered GF options including GF Soy sauce and could make almost any dish GF. When it was time to order though our waiter did not understand my requests or questions. He had to go to the kitchen multiple times to talk to the chef and then eventually told me I could only get one of the dishes on the menu. I was extremely disheartened. I would be willing to go again but would request to be served by the owner or a manager and have the chef come talk to us about preparation. I don’t believe in walking away from a restaurant just because of one uncomfortable experience.
