Great sunset location on the water. Good selection of well marked GF items including salad, sea food, and GF chocolate tart

Very disappointing. Really only one salad and a steak was gf. Had really hoped for a seafood dish but with all the substitutions ( no Mac nut crust, no sauce) there wasn’t much left. Went with salad and a side of shrimp( 3 prawns). It was good but nothing special. View is great. Ate here years ago and had a fantastic meal. I won’t waste our $ anytime soon again.

Great food, waitress said they have a separate chef who deals with the gluten free food for those who have celiac. Meal was very safe and she walked through options they can make gf but were not listed on the menu. Right on the beach for sunset!

Outstanding dinner and incredibly celiac aware. Most dinners can be made GF. We had a party of 8 including a 9 month old. Everything went smoothly. Every dinner selection was wonderful. Service excellent. One of the most enjoyable family dinners (round table with view of sunset) ever in Hawaii.

The setting is lovely, our server Nelson was conscious and considerate of gluten allergies.
Unfortunately the food is mediocre and there were not a lot of choices.

Delicious! Multiple items labeled GF on the menu. My server Nate was excellent walking me through the menu as well. I got the filet for dinner and the chocolate tart for dessert. Highly recommend! I made a reservation a few weeks in advance so we would be there during sunset.

Tested deviled eggs with nima sensor and was positive for gluten when it was labeled gluten free. My steak was negative. I had mild symptoms after eating here, probably cross contamination issues.

Delicious food and great service. I called ahead to report an my celiac needs and the server remembered when he greeted us at the table. I felt very safe and the food was great. A great place for a special night out in Kauai.

The service here was impeccable. Our server, Nathan, thoroughly walked us through which items could be modified to be gluten-free and dairy-free. Everything was delicious!

Delicious! We made a reservation early in the day. There were not a lot of openings, so I recommend making reservations sooner than we did. The waiter was knowledgeable. The flourless chocolate cake was AMAZING! We normally do not save room for dessert, but I'm so glad we did. Overall, a very nice experience. Also, they have a beautiful lawn area by the ocean with an amazing place for a drink and watch the sunset!

Excellent. I put in the reservation notes that we had a celiac person in the group - our waitress introduced herself, went over the menu highlights and then asked who had celiac. She spoke directly to my daughter and told her all the options she could have - from fish to steak to the salads. And the flourless chocolate tart was amazing! Highly recommend.

Small menu, option for most dishes to be modified to be gluten free (more than what's marked on menu). Ended up getting the veggie noodles which was pretty good

Have been here many times before over the years and they typically had many GF options or menu items that could be made GF. Was there yesterday Dec 5, 2022 - GF options were severely limited for some unknown reason. One feature appetizer and two of three salad choices and one main (steak) was all that was available as GF. None of the regular appetizers or fish main meals could be made GF as they were all pre prepared. Had the watermelon salad and feature appetizer prawns. Both were delicious! Would have been nice to have one of the main fish meals tho. Was disappointed by that this trip.

This place is pretty accommodating. Our waiter heard that I had Celiacs and then made sure I had a menu tour of what could be changed, I ended up getting the ono with lemon bur blanc and it was on point along with those Monkeypod Mai Tais and deviled eggs. The chef here is celiac so I felt really safe in the hands of this kitchen.

Safe place- did not get sick but they make NO effort for their gluten free customers. You need to order your fish without sauce. All the sauces are made with soy & wheat. Your fish arrives dry & the menu just lacks any special touches when you’re going gluten free. There have been so many places around Kauai with better food. The rice, mashed potatoes and vegetables are made without gluten or exposure to gluten. We spent over 300 dollars for a family of four and I felt like I had ate at home. Nothing special the way of food- it wouldn’t kill them to use gluten free soy sauce or provide gf bread at the table. Just a disappointing dinner. Saving grace- the view is wonderful if you can get a table facing outside at sunset.

I am honestly not sure why this place has such good reviews on here. Only about 3 items were marked GF on the menu, only 1 an entree. They were able to make the fish GF by alteration but that meant it had no seasoning so it was just bland grilled fish. For $48 an entree that was disappointing.

Had a safe meal. Our server was excellent. You could tell he was a real professional. When I identified myself as celiac he said that the chef was celiac as well which was great news. I had the lobster deviled eggs, Cesar salad and asked them to modify one of the fish dishes to be GF. The eggs were amazing. The Cesar salad was good. The fish was good. A little bland but safe. Try to come here at sunset as they have a beautiful view of the ocean facing west.

There were only two items marked as gf on the menu but when asked the server informed us that the kitchen could modify other dishes as well. I got the filet mignon which was excellent and felt well assured by the staff that my food was gf.

I had a great experience, the waitress was knowledgeable about gluten free options and all the food we ate was tasty. I'd return here.

I wouldn’t say the service staff instilled much confidence in me, but I did get a good, gluten-free meal here. The server wasn’t overly knowledgeable, but did say he told the kitchen I was celiac and was assured my entree would be gluten free. Gluten-free entrees were clearly marked on the menu, and I’ve been fine since our meal. I had the pork loin and shared a lobster tail with my husband, who is not GF, and he had the seafood linguine. We were both pleased with the food!
The restaurant is in a really pretty spot near the water and is a great spot to watch the sunset or just listen to the waves!
Delicious food and great staff. Plus, a great view to watch the surfers and loads of parrots playing. Super cool. Would very happily return.

Staff was very knowledgeable. Everything on the menu was labeled gluten free. Really enjoyed my scallops and lobster dinner for Valentine’s Day!
Yes
They were very accommodating for gf foods and an awesome place to watch the sunset and surfers! Great waiter too!
Yes
Excellent meal but only 4* for gluten freedom - no gf bread before meal and only gf dessert option was sorbet which imho doesn’t really count (went to Lappert’s for ice-cream instead). Gf meal options are clearly marked, though our server had limited gf knowledge beyond the menu.
The staff was super knowledgeable about cooking for those with celiac disease! I had the fresh Hawaiian catch with the Parmesan plantain and candies fennel. It was incredible!
Yes
great GF options. knowledgeable staff. great experience
Excellent meal very knowledgeable! Will go back
Yes
Delicious food, great views and very gluten friendly. There’s a few specific GF menu items, but they are willing to work to adjust other dishes as well. My server happened to be a celiac and assured me the kitchen has a separate preparation area for GF dishes. She also gave me hand written list of her favorite Places to get GF food around the island including bakeries and spots with desserts! I will definitely come back to the beach house on every visit to this island
Yes
Very knowledgeable and friendly staff. Willing to make adjustments so that things could be made gluten free. I loved my entree! Wonderful sunset views and our sweet waiter was willing to take our picture! A special place to celebrate our 30th anniversary. Would definitely come again.
Yes
This was definitely our best meal of the trip! Their menu marked gluten free options, and the server was very kind and seemed knowledgeable about our concerns. I had the filet mignon (best steak we've ever tasted) and my husband had the grill special (marlin) and said it was incredible (I was unable to taste it because I'm pregnant). We definitely would return!
Great service and delicious food. They are knowledgeable about their ingredients and my daughter did well; no reaction. The ceviche was delicious. She also had the catch of the day on polenta. It was a lovely experience, especially with the view.
We were there 3/2017. Have daughter with celiac and gets very sick with any amount of gluten. The staff is very knowledgeable . we had a waitress with gluten sensitivity so was great help in selecting food. good amount of choices. did NOT get sick . it is pricey but cannot beat the location. food was very good
Yes
Ate there last night. Setting was beautiful, drinks at the bar were great. GF menu was very limited. I also have a dairy allergy. Waiter was very nice, but the meal was not even tasty. My husband, who does not need GF was disappointed with his meal as well. Way over-rated. And, I was sick all night. Can't recommend it for celiacs.
I ordered off the gf menu, but then when I double checked after my food was brought, they had to switch my sauce. They didn't switch everything though, as I am now sick. Also, the food is mediocre at best, and the service leaves much to be desired. We won't be back.
Beautiful view, gluten free menu, great service. Not 100% sure on cross contamination, but a great GF lunch/dinner menu.
Only apps were available when I tried to eat here. And only then it was partly. Nice setting though
The food is good, and the views are spectacular. The gluten free menu has items from the dinner menu, but not the lunch menu, so it wasn't much use since I was there at lunch time. The waiter was helpful and verified with the kitchen that the fish tacos were gluten free. I think there must have been some cross contamination, since I had a mild reaction a few hours later.
