I’ve been to this restaurant twice and have had such great experiences. They are very friendly and there are so many menu items for gluten free customers!

Was so sick within an hour of eating at Benedict's. The server was not knowledgeable, but she did convinced me when I ordered that there was no wheat flour in the sauce for the gluten-free blueberry pancakes. After I started eating them I suspected that was not the case. I almost had to go to the hospital because I was so violently sick. I always appreciate when restaurants try to accommodate celiacs, so it's not easy writing a bad review. But the carelessness was beyond a little cross contamination. I can never go back.

While the food is delicious, it is not a safe place to eat if you have celiac disease or other gluten sensitivity due to shared pans and cooking utensils. The kitchen is very small and while the omelets are gluten free, they are prepared on the same surfaces as gluten items. If you are just trying to avoid gluten, it's a fabulous place

I have eaten here twice. Nice atmosphere, hod service, and they offer gluten free items on their menu, even for the daily specials. Both times I ordered gluten free omelets. The first time I was fine. The second time both my daughter and I were sick within an hour and had to quit shopping to go home. We both ordered gluten free omelets (different kinds), potatoes and fruit. I told the waitress to mark the order gluten free so they would be careful in the preparation. I can only assume we were glutened from cross contamination. I'm very sensitive but my daughter is not.

Made the mistake of going during a dinner serving. GF is very limited then and won't make things from the breakfast menu. Staff education seemed to be hit or miss. Actually almost left because I didn't quite trust them. Had an enjoyable meal and did not get glutened....

My kids & I eat here frequently. They have gf pancakes and many items noted as gf on the menu. Read all the menu though because there ate other items that are also gf. Great outdoor patio in a cute downtown setting.
