Berlu for dinner — An ambitious 12 -course tasting menu, absolutely delicious. Reminiscent of L’Atelier Robuchon anywhere and Eden Hill in Seattle, PNW version. Very refined and light, everything was perfect and gorgeous to look at. 100% gluten-free and dairy-free because the chef is. My favorite restaurant in Portland.

It took us a while to find because there are two restaurants at 605 SE Belmont St. Hat Yai is on Belmont. Berlu is on 6th Ave at the tail end of Hat Yai (in a courtyard area). We found it when we walked north on sixth Avenue and then, when we didn’t find it, turned around and walked south on 6th Ave back toward Belmont. And there it was!
