As much as I wanted to say that I had a good experience because I am a fan of Molly Yeh, I did have a reaction. I had the gluten free white bread. I also have a coconut allergy and the staff said they checked the recipe but I’m not sure if my reaction was to gluten or coconut. 😢

Bernie’s is a nice place to get food and they have a gluten free menu. After talking to the server, I realized the menu is more gluten friendly and they cook everything on the same grill. I ordered the Breakfast Sandwich and the Yogurt Granola items - had to ask them to toast the bread in a separate pan and I still feel skeptical about the granola (which has oats, unsure if GF). Their GF bread is really good and made in-house. Overall great food, yet skeptical about safety.

I called before I tried to eat here and it is 100% not Celiac safe. The bakery and kitchen aren’t separated, which means there is major contamination potential. It looks amazing and they do have basic GF options if you’re just avoiding gluten by choice, not necessity.
