They staff clearly know what they're doing-- the menu is clearly marked and they put gluten free sauces on the table as soon as you order. The fish and chips are huge portions and delicious! The place gets very busy so a reservation isn't a bad idea.
>>Update-- still great staff and delicious fish and chips!

really knowledgeable staff, gluten free batter and breading in its own fryer available. Great to be able to enjoy fish and chips (though quite on the bland side, added a lot of salt). Beer is the “gluten free” labeling allowed in the UK meaning it’s under 20ppm but it is made from barley so depending on how you do with that beware! Lots of options to eat, allergens marked on main menu

The fish and chips were so incredible that we stopped here twice on our trip! The plates also came out marked as gluten free, which is always a relief, and they have separate cooking areas and fryers. They even have gf versions of the sauces.

Fantastic fish and chips. My wife who can eat gluten even said the gluten free version was tastier due to it being less bready! Great selection of beers too.

Good crispy battered fish! Chips were nothing special but everything was done in a dedicated fryer so it was safe. Made a reservation before eating with a note about being celiac. Staff made sure I knew gluten-free menu items and their safety precautions. Waitress was really helpful in double checking which drinks were gluten-free. The restaurant was also really good in accommodating a dairy allergy for my friend.

Very good fish and chips! They have a dedicated fryer, which is perhaps the best phrase someone could say to me. Servers were kind and told us which order was gluten free when they set it down.

The best restaurant experience I’ve had so far (2 months diagnosed). Excellent food choices. Great tasting haddock, chips and mushy peas. Staff knowledgeable and GF vinegar and brown sauce provided. Waiter said he isn’t GF but always chooses the GF haddock. My non GF partner tried my haddock and said it tasted better than his! 10/10 recommend.

Fish and chips were amazing. Tasted like I remember them and waiter was very knowledgeable. Everyone pointed out potential issues on the table and how to meet my needs, including with sauces. Which they had gluten free versions of. They have a separate frier!

The gf battered haddock was great!
They had a lot of gluten free options and even gf beer.
Staff asked me why i ordered gf, if i was a celiac, allergic, or just wanted to skip everything gluten.
great experience for a reasonable price.
as a side i ordered the gf onion rings, but those i eould not recommend. ( My Girlfriend ordered the ones WITH gluten and they werent great either)

Poor experience. Very limited options and nothing like the menu posted here. They fry in soybean oil and every item practically is thus affected. The burger without bun even has gluten. :( we left and were unable to eat. Highly disappointing.

From a gluten free perspective, this was great. It’s been ages since I’ve been able to have fish and chips. I will say that both the fish and the chips were pretty bland tasting and required a LOT of salt. Service was good, if not a little rushed (definitely felt like they wanted my table, even though the place was pretty empty)

Amazing! Dedicated fryers for gluten free, great selection of fish, chips, sides and sauces. Super friendly staff and also an awesome atmosphere. This is a great find for Celiac safe travels. Very close to main attractions which is typically not where I like to eat but didn’t feel tourist trappy at all. Would highly recommend!

Ordered the traditional fish and chips. Meal arrived with a GF flag. Was sitting by the kitchen and could see that they had special purple tongs for the GF food and a purple bowl of GF fries. I'm very symptomatic and had no issues! Even got some tartar sauce with my meal.

Had lunch there today & what a wonderful experience. Staff totally knowledgeable. Asked the young man who was seating people and by the time our table was ready (about 4 minutes) there was gf vinegar and gf brown sauce on our table. I had the fish & chips. The portion was large and it all tasted great.

The staff were very knowledgeable about celiac and knew what options were available GF. I got the fish and chips, which were cooked in a dedicated fryer. They also brought over gluten free vinegar and brown sauce, and explained which sauces on the table did contain gluten so I would avoid them. Although they don’t mark exactly which items can be made GF, they have a note about their dedicated gluten free fryers on their menu.

Arrived w/o reservations for a quick dinner before a tour. Read the previous reviews mentioning the separate fryer and GF fish & chips so was looking forward to that. When we were shown our table they asked if there were any allergies, and I said wheat. When I tried ordering the GF fish & chips they said they couldn't guarantee there was no wheat in the GF batter and I should order the baked fish. I tried explaining that if it's GF it's made without wheat and I should be ok. The manager came over and promised to go read the ingredients and verify, but quickly returned that there had been a reserved party of 50+ ppl that arrived and they were all ordering GF so it would be 45 minutes+ before they'd be able to make my food (if they even could) so I'd be better off just ordering the baked fish. Meal was ok, but certainly not something I'd return for. Very disappointed regarding the fish & chips. Ordered a GF dessert that took forever to come out (again, the party ordering dessert was blamed) was meh too. Big points for taking allergies and contamination very seriously, low points for everything else.

Fabulous! We ordered on Uber Eats and put a note in the comments area about celiac and high allergy. Our daughter is very sensitive and had zero issues. The food was delicious and huge! We ordered way too much! The sides of fries were served in the same size box as the fish and chips meal. We would definitely eat here again.

Great gluten free fish and chips experience! As they were hosting a private event, they were only open for take out. However, they still made sure that I got my gluten free fish and chips nicely labeled. They also offer gluten free sauces for celiacs/coeliacs. I felt perfectly fine after eating here. Highly recommend!

First thing the waiter asked before getting our order was whether anyone had any allergies. I got the gf fish and chips and not only was it delicious but they even brought over gluten free vinegar and chippy sauce - a first out of the many fish and chips places I’ve been to. Definitely would recommend and would feel safe eating here even as a celiac.

Have been a few times and have never had a problem. They have a separate frier so there’s options for the fish and the chips. Gf sauces are offered, portions are big and staff are knowledgeable about gf. The place is always buzzing, so I recommend booking in advance, although there’s a waiting area where drinks can be ordered while you wait.

Some of the best fish and chips my husband and I have ever had -- we are from Wisconsin and have had a basket or too in our day. I couldn't believe how accomodating they were to my requests. They brought out GF chippy sauce and vinegar. Even asked if I had a severe allergy, just in case they needed to take extra caution. Absolutely wonderful.
