Let me start by saying this is our favorite restaurant in Gatlinburg. I was recently diagnosed with Celiac disease and it was my first time eating there since the diagnosis. The staff there were so kind and thorough when I ordered the gluten free pizza. First the waitress asked the chef if the pepperoni was gf. She came back with a “yes, it is” so I ordered a 12”(only size) pepperoni pizza. Later the chef came out, knelt down beside me, and said “Let’s talk about your gluten -free pizza.” He explained that while pepperoni is gf, there was no way to tell if it had been contaminated somewhere in the processing, slicing, etc before they got it, so he did not feel good about me eating it. ❤ He was so kind! He then suggested a vegetable pizza, which I was happy to order. It was truly delicious! My husband and sons tried it and could not tell any difference in the gf crust and other thin and crispy crusts. We were so thankful to the chef and management for our whole experience and especially their kindness!
