Big Ed's Pizza

Went on a Thursday for lunch. Street parking was full, so we parked in an adjacent lot since school is out for the summer. Several folks coming and going as we parked by the restaurant didn’t have many people. We weren’t sure whether to seat ourselves or wait, but finally someone came over to let us know we could sit anywhere. Made the mistake of sitting in a small area beside the kitchen with a low ceiling so I felt a little claustrophobic and that we missed out on the setting. But, the server came over quickly and took our drink order. She asked if we were ready to order to which I replied, we’ve never been here so we need a minute. She seemed out off by that honestly, but pointed out the menu on the table and said she’d be back. A different one brought out the drinks, so we weren’t able to order. We ordered a GF pizza to share and my adult son ordered a regular pizza. The wait was long for the number of people in the restaurant but I believe it’s because several came in while we were waiting to order. I guess now we know to be ready. Both pizzas were very good. Felt like I was eating something real versus the cardboard you get elsewhere. The GF pizza was in its own pan but I’m not sure regarding handling and cross since I didn’t really feel I could ask. The do make their own dough, at least for regular and so I’m sure the flour is a risk. I had no problem other than the fact I had dairy and sauce. 🙃 I’m sure we will be back and hope that service is better.

Fun place to hang out with friends and enjoy pizza. Lots of memorabilia to look at and GF pizza is tasty too!

Fun old school place to go. Gluten free pizza crust was fantastic. Sauce is delicious.

Gluten Free pizza comes on its own aluminum tray. I get it without cheese. I have eaten there 3 times without issues. It is pricey, but very tasty. It’s nice to be able to go have pizza with family and friends again.

Have eaten here numerous times with no issues. Manager follows order upon request. Great atmosphere and best GF pizza!
