Great food but not much of it is gluten free, contrary to what a Washington DC Gf website says. They were very accommodating with our Celiac son and tried to give him options. No GF fries, though. One waitress had no idea about GF, another was very clued-up. Inconsistent but tried hard.

They no longer offer gf flatbread and wait staff was a little unsure of what was gluten free. Luckily the chef was able to clarify. We had prosciutto and a cauliflower, shishito pepper appetizer in an aioli sauce which was incredible.

Celiac friendly?

Located in the heart of Washington, DC's Logan Circle, Birch and Barley offers some of the boldest fl avors in gluten-free cooking! Never tried tripe? Birch and Barley Chef Kyle braises the intestine delicacy and serves it over homemade gluten-free corn pasta. Sounds gross, tastes amazing! Don't miss the pineapple upside down cake made with almond fl our by Pastry Chef Tiffany. Be sure to check out the extensive list of gluten-free ciders and beers."
