THE PICKLED CHICKEN!! Oh boy I wish I lived in LA so I could go here like twice a month. Gluten free, celiac safe fried chicken (rice flour and potato flakes) with a pickle brine hot sauce (tasted like a tangy, spicy salsa verde in the best way) - also dairy free.
They do sell out of the chicken early. We came from very far for that chicken - and I was so scared I wouldn’t get one, so we went early. And they did sell out.. but I told the bartender I came from Philly for it while waiting for our table and ordered the last one!
There are a ton of GF options though that seem delicious, and the Caesar salad looked incredible. Got a basic salad and fries (dedicated fryer) with an awesome aioli.
But get there early for that chicken!
Also had a cocktail that was delicious that was only 7% ABV.. I like that I can have a cocktail and not get drunk! It was the perfect, light cocktail.
The service was the best I’d seen in a while, so attentive, so helpful and willing to answer any of a celiacs questions. From the host to the manager- the bartender was super friendly and talkative, and the server was great. Pricey but worth every penny.
Definitely go here if you’re a celiac and missing fried chicken!

Run, don’t walk here. The service, food, and ambiance was outstanding. It’s family style so we had the pickle chicken, steak, fries, Caesar salad, cucumber appetizer, and cookies and cream ice cream. They have their own dedicated fryer and mark the plates with allergy flag.

We ate at Birdie G's last night and it was a great experience! We were able to note that a member of our party has Celiac on our reservation and they acknowledged that as they sat us at our table. The menu is well-labeled, too. We had the Pick Chick which was amazing pickle-brined fried chicken, the fried mushrooms, and the most interesting kiwi appetizer. Two GF desserts on the menu-- Flourless chocolate cake and a chocolate passion fruit terrine. The terrine was really special. Felt very safe eating here and no reaction from my very sensitive Celiac son... which is always the best thing of all.

Clearly labeled menu with several options and a dedicated gf fryer. Staff very knowledgeable. The evening I went I was told there was bread on the grill and all 6 entrees could be made in a pan instead. I very much appreciated the plan b, but was a bit disappointed as the grill is a feature there. That being said, I had simple greens, fries and scallops and all were good and safe.

Staff was super knowledgeable on Celiac and double checked that cross contamination would not be an issue. The Pickle Chick (gf) fried chicken is delicious and a must-try. They use a separate fryer so make sure to request your fries in the GF fryer. You can also watch the kitchen and see with your eyes how the chefs handle allergies in real time. Overall amazing dining experience, just wish they had better GF options for dessert (only options were pana cotta and cold melon!)

Phenomenal spot. Some of the best service I’ve had. Not only was the server friendly and very aware of celiac, but the manager herself came out to assure us our food was safe. Oh, and that food was epically delicious.

Our server took my wife's Celiac very seriously and didn't just answer affirmative to every question we asked. When she was unsure about the state of their fryer, our server went and confirmed with the kitchen that they did indeed have a separate fryer that was used for GF items. Menu labeling was very clear and gave us serious piece of mind.
My wife and I split the relish tray and she enjoyed an order of the mushroom fritti (fried in the GF fryer) and fries with aioli (ditto). She loved every bite and still feels great 3 days later.

We had the most amazing and delicious experience at Birdie G's the other night. My grandson has celiac disease, and his nutritionist told us that she had heard Birdie G's was a safe place to dine. While it is not 100% gluten free, they are so careful and caring and have so many, many gluten-free options noted on their menu that it is a pleasure to dine there. We were in good hands, and our grandson was healthy and happy afterwards.
