Amazing experience! They explained how my lobster roll would be prepared and how it is kept gf. It’s well worth it!

What a great place! This was the first stop of our Maine vacation after we arrived in Portland, and I'm so glad that it was. The people working were both amazingly friendly and helpful. They understood celiac and were incredibly accommodating, going above and beyond to show me every option and make me feel comfortable. They really were going above and beyond with prepping my food, and I truly appreciated it. Highly recommend!!

✨1st stop on our Maine vacay✨ Let me tell you… this place was delish!!! I got the Maine style 4.5 oz. Lobster roll. BUT… a little forewarning: it’s hecking expensive (but it was so good!) Make sure you tell the workers that you have a gluten allergy and they’ll prepare it for you correctly. I highly recommend coming here next time you’re in the Portland area!

At the food truck at Allagash Brewing, staff could not have been more accommodating. Grilled a gf bun in foil with freshly opened butter, opened a new bag of chips for my side and reiterated that it was gf when I picked it up. Staff very knowledgeable (one is gluten-free!).

Had a delicious GF lobster roll as take-out from the Scarborough location! They offered to separately toast the bun when I notified them I had celiac/gluten allergy. When my husband went in to pick it up they reiterated it was gluten-free to confirm which is always reassuring. Highly recommend for lobster rolls!

I called and asked - she offered to prep the gf bun in a separate pan, but it sounded like the pan was nonstick so I asked if she could put the bun on foil on the grill instead. It was AMAZING and she clearly took all the precautions. I had the Maine lobster roll, and later in the trip had a Connecticut roll at the food truck (different review / situation but still good). The lobster meat tastes so fresh & filling it is worth the cost in my humble opinion!!! Even the locals agree - would recommend if you’re visiting Maine!

For the Cape Elizabeth food truck location - They're aware of cross-contamination issues and have a GF roll option, but because of the way they cook the other food, someone who is GF for celiac can't have their roll grilled or have butter on anything because either of those things would cause cross-contamination. You can get lobster on either coleslaw or lettuce. I got a Lobster BLT on the GF roll. It would have made it much easier if they had it listed (even on the website) what the GF options are so I didn't need to ask so many questions and suggest so many options for me to eat that they then had to tell me wouldn't work because of cross-contamination.
