Everything that could be made gluten free was clearly marked on the menu and I found there were plenty of options. Unfortunately, their oven was down for the night so couldn’t try the gluten free flatbread, but had the salmon and Brussels sprouts and that was delicious. If I’m ever back in the area, will definitely go again.

Bitters is my go to spot as a Saranac Lake Local. Food is ALWAYS fabulous, they have a dedicated fryer for your gluten free wings, and their gf Flatbreads are scrumptious!

Many great experiences eating here, except my last in Dec ‘23. I was cross contaminated. When I visited over the summer, things were going a bit downhill. Will most likely not return. Such a shame. They were the best place to eat GF for years.

Excellent food choices for sensitive Celiacs. I had the best burger, probably of my life, today. Thw fries were amazing. I am sooooo glad I found this restaurant/ brewery on this app. If you're in Saranac, this place is safe. They do have a dedicated fryer and many menu options.

Wonderful and caring waitress put my mind at ease! Dedicated fryer! Taco night, but i was hungry for a burger. Perfectly cooked. Roll was yummy. Fries were fab! Great experience!

GF cauliflower crust was delicious. All their pizzas can be done GF. Also the wings were good and GF! Worth a stop if you’re in the area!

Dedicated fry fryer so the fries are safe to eat! I had a bitters burger, without the fried onion. The food was delicious and I did not get sick.

What a fantastic GF meal I experienced this evening! There is a dedicated fryer for fries (which were excellent) and the flatbreads were phenomenal! Fantastic restaurant followed with fantastic people, servers, & food. I love Saranac Lake & now I love it even more bc of Bitters & Bones. If you have celiac disease ask for Lizzie! Lizzie has a family member with celiac disease & is knowledgeable about staying away from gluten. Enjoy!

Got the cheese burger on a gluten free bun. The cheese was fried so I confirmed that the cheese and fries would be cooked in the gluten free frier. When the food arrived I confirmed with the server that the bun, cheese, and fries were each gluten free. He said yes. I took a bite of the fries before he came back over and said that the fries that were on my plate came from the gluten containing frier.

It’s always a treat when I can have GF chicken wings, fries and flatbreads, with no reactions Makes me feel like one of the cool kids!!!! Thank You Bitters and Bones

Lots of options. Food was excellent. A little more fried than I would have liked but that is the type of restaurant. Waitress assured me the fries were cooked in a separate fryer. Had the pulled pork sandwich on a gf bun. Had no issues after eating here!

Delicious! Very knowledgeable. Dedicated frier. I had the BBQ Pork plate with a crispy jalapeño corn cake, French fries, cole slaw, and chocolate torte for dessert!

Finding a Celiac safe spot is always tough, finding a delicious one is even harder. We have wanted to eat here the last two years while vacationing, we were happy today when we finally had the time. Our food was delicious! I had the curry and enjoyed every bite. The rest of my family (non are GF) had burgers, sandwiches and ribs. They all raved about their food. The atmosphere is cool-rustic and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. We will be back!

Great food. Menu was labeled well with gluten free options. My celiac daughter had a cheeseburger on a gluten free bun, with a side house salad and the gf ranch dressing. The fries are not gf, but there were good options. No cross contamination. We will return.

Great lunch! Was a little nervous, but went based on reviews here. Had the fish tacos and they were great! A lot of variety for gf folks. Staff very knowledgeable. Will definitely be back.

This was our third time eating at Bitters. The staff and owner is very knowledgeable about GF. Separate fryer for the fries. Food is phenomenal and not your typical menu items. We would go out of our way to enjoy.

We’ve had: GF fries, flat bread pizza, wings, fried shrimp, tacos, buns and brownies.

The menu was clearly labeled and there were so many gluten free options. Most importantly the food was phenomenal!

Celiac friendly?

Yes

They waitress was very knowledgable about CD which was very comforting. Their menu is clearly labelled what is GF and what isn't. When I ordered and mentioned CD, she informed the kitchen and extra caution was taken. The food was very good as well. After trying to eat at a handful of restaurants in this area with no luck, this was definitely refreshing!
