Not celiac friendly. They took precautions with my food but I still got sick. Too much cross contamination risks here.
No
My pizza was mishandled/contaminated ,gloves were not changed and then said he did everything right. I have Celiacs and had eaten there before but thankfully watched before getting sick so I must say NOT CELIAC FRIENDLY. Gave it a second chance 04/18. Employee looked upset at dealing with CD. He seemed to go out of way to contaminate it. He was Happy when I canceled order. He had a horrible attitude. Might be good pizza but they don’t try to accommodate CD. They seemed to start trying but today they reaffirmed they are NOT GLUTEN FREE!!07/13/2019. Personally watched them cross contaminate. It’s their place. If that was the manager, he sure just doesn’t care

I am gluten sensitive and I do not have Celiac’s Disease. I order the gluten-free crust every time at several of the Blaze locations and it is the best gluten-free pizza crust I have ever tasted. Thin, crispy and delicious...as good as any pizza I have had in Italy.
You have to be VERY watchful here. I’ve been able to eat here on occasion but the cross contamination risk is very high. I’ve had other pizzas accidentally half on top of my gluten free, wrong utensils used and a number of problems. I have had a similar issue with this at other locations. I would not recommend eating here.

Separate sauce, changed gloves, took care to ensure no cross contamination while making the gluten free pizza. It tasted really good, too. They cook the pizza on a separate pad so it doesn't come in contact with the same oven base or item used to take it out of the oven.
Yes
Blaze is really great here with changing gloves and separate sauce for the gluten free pizzas. Only thing I would suggest is to watch your pizza when they are cooking it/bringing it out of the oven. On one occasion a gluten pizza landed slightly on top of my pizza and I had to ask them to remake it. Manager completely apologized and gave me a free pizza coupon, but just make sure to watch for that. But I've eaten here a number of times with no symptoms and i'm pretty sensitive. They make a really good crispy crust and I love adding Zucchini to my pizza.

Blaze Pizza in Sarasota has quickly become one of our favorites. The pizza is really good and not only do they provide GF crust but also offer many toppings to choose from that are also GF. They offer vegan and non-dairy cheese which is a must for me. The staff is very acccomodating and this is almost a weekly stop for us that fits in our budget.
Yes
I have been to Blaze restaurants that use precautions in preparing GF pizzas. This isn’t one of them. We ordered 2 GF pizzas for my daughter and I, and the fellow (not his fault, obviously had no training) took two of the cooking discs out of a pile of flour from the regular station. He put our GF dough on top of the flour covered discs. We apologized for the inconvenience and left. Blaze is in general a terribly run franchise system. Very disappointing.

They have great gluten free crust. It’s especially good if you ask for it well done as it helps get it more crispy. They are pretty good at changing gloves and asking if it is an allergy.

This location had been good in the past and made sure to take precautions including getting fresh toppings but not so great the past year. I’ve tried multiple times to go back and every time over the past year, I have walked out without ordering as they make me extremely uncomfortable. Every time I go they have a change in staff. When I ask about celiac friendly, they advise they change their gloves, have a gf dough, and have a separate “allergy” sauce, but they WILL NOT use separate toppings. So therefore you will be glutened. When I’ve inquired but getting fresh toppings they have advised they can’t do that. If you try this place be TAKE CAUTION.
They offer a Gluten free option but sadly there's a high risk of cross contamination. There are very few employees that care enough to acknowledge your celiac concerns and use ingredients separate from the front counter. I've been to this location twice and the 2nd time was the awful experience that made me stop going.

Excellent pizza! I had the regular GF crust and it was quite tasty. I also have to give them credit for switching out the crust twice when they pulled them out and they had small rips in the bottom. They said it was already fragile, so they wanted a good one. Excellent customer service!
