Based off reviews we felt this was a safe place for celiac and others who have illnesses where they need to avoid gluten. However our experience was not good and felt to warn others to ask the server if each item is GF even if it states it on the menu. My daughter was excited to order from their menu with so many GF options. After we ordered and started eating we asked about something being GF( fried chicken I ordered for her to try) and that is where they told us the menu was wrong and that what my daughter orderedand ate was not GF. Apparently they had a mistake where items that were not GF were marked GF on the menus and did not inform consumers. When we told the waitress they did apologize for the error. The serve did mention more than one item was marked wrong and they never switched out the menus yet with corrected menu. The chef and manager handled it well except they did put partial blame on us that we should have told them from the start my daughters medical so they were better prepared. I agree we could have mentioned she needs GF but we trusted the menu where it clearly said GF. They have taken down menus but I'd be cautious and make sure you ask. Very disappointing especially after we read reviews on how celiac friendly this place was.

Fabulous food, knowledgeable staff, excellent experience. I had the sampler, fried green tomatoes, and the burger with sourdough and it was all excellent taste and safe.

Took our celiac daughter here while in Bristol because of this app. She was thrilled to eat a restaurant with so many safe GF options. Food was amazing and atmosphere too. Great service. She did not get sick.

Before going, I emailed Bloom to ask about cross contamination precautions. This is the response I got run the chef:
“I’m the chef at Bloom. We have a lot of gluten free items and some gluten “friendly” items. Our brunch menu has a bunch of options. We have a fryer solely for gluten free food such as breakfast potatoes, fries, and fried green tomatoes. If some gluten gets in the fryer, we drain it, clean it, and refill it with clean oil.
Our dinner menu is even more gluten free. Every entree we offer is gluten free and we only have a few hand held sandwiches that contain gluten, but most things are totally naturally gluten free. With an allergy warning we sanitize our station, change gloves and grab unused pans and utensils.
Furthermore our entire dessert menu is always totally gluten free for both brunch and dinner. Come see us some time! While we cannot completely guarantee a gluten free restaurant, we always take allergens seriously. Our owner has celiac disease and we’ve designed the menus to be as accommodating as possible.
Thank you,
Chef Josh”

Food was delicious and the staff was very knowledgeable about celiac. Didn’t get sick and really enjoyed my meal.
I asked for the gluten free menu when we were being seating and noticed it says at the bottom that the kitchen is not a certified gluten free kitchen, but that’s true of almost every restaurant that offers a regular menu and a gluten free menu.
I got the quiche and fruit cup with coffee. The quiche was awesome and had a great crust )it was flaky!), the fruit cup had fresh seasonal fruit (no cantaloupe!) and the waitress was incredibly sweet and brought me a to go cup of coffee when I finished my first cup. I will definitely be back.

We ate here when passing through staying overnight on a roadtrip, we came for both dinner and breakfast. More than half of the dinner menu is gluten free. Cocktails are interesting and yummy. Elote dip was more like a corn salad served with chips. Not at all spicy, pretty tasty. Our party tried the braised beef, the pork belly lettuce wraps, the sweet potato gnocchi (not gf) and the ramen (which did have a gluten-free option!). Everything was amazing. The entire dessert menu was gluten free. For breakfast they had a gf quiche that was to die for. My gf 7yo had a hard time finding anything she wanted (no gf pancakes or waffles unfortunately) but we ultimately found her a gf housemade poptart-like pastry that was incredible. I would pay good money for their pastry recipe... Restaurant is small but they seem to be moving into a larger location. Service was a little slow but very friendly and competent. Gluten-free options were very well marked as a server was easily able to get gluten-free information. Gluten free items were able to be served as advertised with no adjustments.
