No safe corn chips or shells. Very few things on menu is GF. I got shrimp and rice. Staff was very knowledgeable about my needs. She asked them to clean the grill for my dish.

There seem to be only a couple of Mexican restaurants In Greensboro and the surrounding area that say they have some gluten free options. This may just be lack of knowledge. I have been coming to Blue Agave for a few years now and I have Celiac Disease. The owner has assured me several times that basically the flour tortillas and enchilada sauce are what I should avoid and the chips are also fried in a separate fryer. I’ve never had an issue here at all. Today, We ordered and I had eaten a couple of chips and I told the waitress that I have to avoid gluten. She told me to not eat the chips. The owner was with her and seemed to correct her but when I asked if it was a separate fryer the answer was a little vague stating that the chips are corn (which obviously I know that). So....with that being said, I don’t know about the chips anymore 😢. Food was great as always.

Staff was knowledgeable about gluten free options, kitchen staff is informed of avoiding cross contamination. Nothing gluten free noted on the menu, but upon inquiring they said that everything but the enchilada sauce and flour tortillas was gluten free. I had the enchilada suizas. Could also eat the chips, they said the chips were fried by themselves and not with any flour containing items. I didn’t get sick!As far as the food itself, it’s ok. We’re from Colorado and I’ve had amazing Mexican there... I think NC Mexican is just different and I’m having a hard time finding something close to what we’re used to. My husband did say the fajitas had good flavor.
