Tried twice and unfortunately had ill effects on both occasions. Neither experience, despite a year apart gave me confidence that the staff is trained or knowledgeable. They care, but that can’t replace accurate info.

The chef did a great job accommodating my celiac disease and need to be gluten free without cross contamination. I got a burger and salad. The gf bun was delicious and I didn’t get sick from any of it.

Blue heron was amazing! They had a lot of items on the menu that were able to be made gluten free and the food was delicious! Beware though that there is no separate fryer so avoid chips or anything else that is fried.

Twice I’ve ordered hamburgers and questioned the gluten free bun because it was such superior quality. The burger was amazing!

They have a gluten free menu—but it hasn’t been updated. Ordered pork chop, said mashed potatoes—got a baked potato plain in tin foil, menu said carrots got asparagus instead. Besides all of that the food here is just plain overpriced for what you get. Double check with the waitress for anything you order if you will get what you ordered.
I was very pleased the chef was willing to join my table and discuss my options and ingredients as a celiac diner. He was very accommodating, and I enjoyed both the salmon and bass. I will definitely be returning!
Yes
I loved this place until they served me a “gluten free” bun with my burger tonight.... I felt sick half way through eating it and asked my friend (who was eating a regular bun) if it tasted like hers and she said yes. Server seemed not sorry about the mix up. (Yes I did inform her I had celiac disease while I was ordering.) Now I’ll be sick for two days - at least my food was free!
