I have celiac and this restaurant is extremely knowledgeable and accommodating! Shared salmon and puppy drum...both were amazing. Sides were fresh and perfectly prepared. Highly recommend!

I went here last year and was pleased to see dishes labeled as gluten free right on the menu. About a month ago, I decided to try the paleo diet because just going gluten free wasn't helping (I have Celiac Disease). Returned to Blue again yesterday and the waitress and the owner were very helpful. They made some changes to one of the specials so it would be paleo friendly (bacon-wrapped scallops, sweet potato, and squash sautéed in olive oil). It was delicious and I didn't have any bad reactions! The atmosphere was great and we got there early enough that we didn't have to wait long. It's a popular place (and I can see why)! Definitely going to return every time I'm in Virginia Beach!

Our family ate here while vacationing in Virginia Beach. It's a small restaurant so the chef/staff give personal attention to dietary needs. As we perused the menu, the chef brought complimentary tuna carpaccio appetizers. When asked if they were gluten free, he responded that they were, and then proceeded to tell us which menu items would be safe for my daughter with celiac disease to eat. All the food was delicious. We would happily go again.
