My 12 year called ahead. They said they have GF options and can prepare safely for Celiacs. When she asked her waitress if they can clean the prep space for her food, the server said they didn’t know, but she would ask. They were able to prepare her food in a celiacs safe space, and they had a gluten free bun for her burger.

I went to the Blue Water on 27 February 2024 and after a lengthy conversation with my waitress, I was served food that was crossed contaminated with Gluten. If you have celiac please avoid the Blue Water Grill
I'm surprised that this is listed here. Went with some friends yesterday and there aren't many options for Celiac's. Our waiter wasn't really sure what had gluten and what didn't. She told me to order a salad or a bunless burger. When I asked if specific items had gluten she said she "didn't think so". That was all the assurance I could get. There is no gluten free menu. There is a gluten free pizza listed on the menu but that is the extent of any gluten labeling.

Stopped in for lunch and had an awesome experience. Menu is well marked and the staff is educated (without me asking, she knew to check the grill and make sure everything was clean and separate). I had a Caesar with no croutons and grilled salmon, as well as nachos which are baked not Fried!

When we arrived in Skaneateles for the long weekend, this is the first place I ate! It was SO good and safe I went back a second time while we were there! There is a gluten free menu and they are super knowledgeable about cross contamination! I could even eat the nachos as they do not put the nachos in a fryer, it’s just baked! So delicious! I highly recommend going! I noticed the last reviews on this place in here were from 2019 so they have clearly changed since then as my experience in June 2022 was the opposite!

They are not gluten free and not knowledgeable. They should not be listed on this site!
No
This restaurant shouldn’t be listed on this app. After ordering what seemed safe and also asking to ensure the meals were gluten free, we still got glutened. It may seem like a good choice by popularity, but it’s definitely not the way to go if you have any gluten sensitivity.
No
No dedicated gf menu and staff did not know what has gluten free, however was willing to go back to the kitchen to ask. There weren’t a ton of options, they use a lot of gluten in their sauces. I got the salmon with potatoes instead of rice, it was delicious and I didn’t get sick!
Yes
The food is delicious and there are many GF options, but BE CAREFUL! I ordered GF tacos, and my order was delivered with flour wrappers, not corn -- and this was even after I stressed that this was a medical issue for me, not a lifestyle thing. Wait staff, while knowledgeable about the menu when I ordered, was quite "ho-hum" about the error. There are plenty of salad and burger options where this wouldn't be a concern, so if I returned, I'd order something that was impossible to screw up. 3 rating is based on mistake and "whatever" attitude.
Tons of options and knowledgable staff. Not a separate gluten free menu but our server pointed out dozens of options that could be made gf. Gluten free soy sauce, pizza shell, buns, sometimes gf taco shells, etc. Sunday build your own Bloody Mary bar is a must. Ask for 1911 vodka and tomato juice.
