I have mixed reviews about my dining experience here. I knew that they had a dedicated fryer, so the tater tots were good, but that was the only thing about my meal that I enjoyed. I asked the waiter for a GF menu. He said they didn't have one but almost everything could be made gf. However, when I started asking questions about different dishes, I got a couple of "I'm pretty sure that one is ok" responses. I ordered the Steak Frites and after the runner brought my plate, someone else brought some sort of sauce for the steak. I asked her if it was GF and she said yes, but then our server stopped by and I asked again and he wasn't sure, so he checked with the kitchen and it turned out that it was not GF, even though my order was marked GF/DF. I'm glad that he checked, but it would be helpful if their menu let you know what was safe and what to avoid. Besides this near miss with the sauce, the steak was a huge disappointment. It was unseasoned, had no flavor, and had a mealy texture. I probably won't go back here, unless its just for drinks and tots.

Waiter was knowledgeable and my daughter didn’t get sick. She’s is super sensitive to gluten and did great! The GF bun and burger was amazing! The tater tots too!

Super knowledgeable and had several GF choices including separate fryer for fries! Manager came over who was very knowledgeable about Celiac to explain the options and ensured safety from CC. The food was fantastic and has a great atmosphere overall.

Waitress took my concerns seriously. Called ahead to confirm protocols and gf options. GF options not listed on the menu. But staff will communicate with kitchen about options. My waitress came back with a note from the kitchen listing out my options!

We stopped here to hang out and have a few drinks while on vacation. You can order online at the table and mark gluten allergy for each item. The waitress was also knowledgeable about how they accommodate gluten free options for each dish. The tator tots and sweet potato fries were soo good. Was very pleasantly surprised about this place.

Separate fryer for gluten free fries and tots. I had a gluten free grilled cheese and fries- would definitely go back! Only tricky thing is I called ahead to ask about allergy, once there you order off the app and can note allergies, but we didn’t talk to any wait staff to confirm.

Our waiter started off the meal asking about allergies. From that point on he was super knowledgeable about what I could eat. He even had a spreadsheet he pulled up to verify everything! They even have a dedicated fryer!
I ordered a burger and salad-delicious! Good gf bun, dedicated gf fryers if you want fries, and my server and the host were knowledgeable about gf/celiac need for safe food prep. You’ll want to have a quick convo about your needs upfront before ordering. The menu doesn’t list gf options but the server told me everything I needed to know. Celiac

I ordered the Waldorf and the Pickle Board and the manager checked to see if it was all gluten free and it was. Very nice. There are gluten free options.
Yes
It's a brewery, but has a full bar.
Dedicated fryer for their chips (delicious), GF buns (a little dry), GF substitutions for their beer cheese.
Overall, a good experience for this Celiac.
Absolutely Terrible. Not Gf at all
I joined my SO for a brewery tour. With the tour came accompanied food and drink pairing. They catered to my restrictions beautifully. For my drink I had the option of cider or wine. I also was given a pickled veggie board. 3 types of pickles, tomatillo, and a sweet potato mixture. I also received beef tenderloin with potatoes and smoked broccoli. My dessert was cheesecake in a bowl with whipped cream with crisped rice (no gluten - made in-house) Everything was quite good. Also knowledgeable of Celiac. Great attitudes. Had no ill effects the next day. Would go back.

Bluejacket is a great time. For the "normals" in my group who could appreciate beer safely and have all the food it was a good casual time. For me, it was initially stressful but then delightful. the fact that it is a brewery restaurant was anxiety inducing initially but ended up not being a problem. I had the burger with a gluten free bun and fries, and it was great! The atmosphere was relaxed and cozy in the evening, but I have seen it upbeat and energetic prior to a baseball game for a pregame. I will visit again for both dinner and for a Nats pregame.
tl;dr - good burger with gluten free bun. good atmosphere. near the ballpark. would visit again.
Yes
Can't fault a restaurant for trying, but the gluten-free bun was extremely big. Made the burger hard to eat. Fries and chickpeas both fried in same oil as breaded items, so you have to get a salad with your burger. Overpriced at $14+Tip.
Yes
Food is poor. Takes WAY too long to get food from the kitchen. GF bun is horrible - texture is like a Schar bun. Horrible. Will never be back.
No
Went in not knowing what to expect, prepared to order a burger without the bun. Not only did our server know what a gluten allergy was, she told us they offer a gluten-free brioche bun!! They also brought out the most delicious fried chickpeas instead of bread at the beginning of the meal.
