The staff seemed to know what they were doing but they don’t have many selections ... just steak and seafood. I ordered a burger without the bun and had to get a side salad instead of fries.

Great experience! They have a separate GF menu with a really good selection of meals. The waitress (who was also one of the cooks) had a family member who couldn't eat gluten, so she was very helpful & took it seriously (proactively brought out the family-style salad for the table without croutons). And the food was very good!!

salmon with blueberry balsamic glaze
They were out of baked potatoes. I got fries but gave them away as they are not celiac friendly. Cole slaw was DELICIOUS.

Not sure they take celiac/food allergies seriously. Waitress was quite dismissive when we explained our concerns about cross-contamination. Food was fine and she later did say the kitchen prepared our meals separately. Right on a marina and nice views. But because of waitresses’ initial attitude, we were not entirely comfortable there.

Delicious shrimp caesar salad! They have a separate Gf menu, which I was given when I asked for it. It was really nice to eat outside, under a large tent, right on the bay.

Staff was knowledgeable, but our server brought salad with croutons. He also asked me if I wanted my scallops fried or broiled. I was curious if he was offering a dedicated fryer. He was not. So, my food was fine but I would be alert.

Nice setting on the water and gf menu. My family got bread but no gf bread was offered to me. Something did not agree with me after that meal but unless I try it again I would not change my rating. I took off one star mainly because my table did not get any waitstaff and after I brought it up to one of the staff she made me walk to the front of the restaurant to tell the hostess. After I did get a waitress she was very rushed and kept saying her food for another table is coming out. Making me feel uncomfortable to ask more questions. There were also amazing mix drinks I did not dare to try, none listed on the gf menu. In any case it is a relaxing and nice restaurant overlooking boats. It is also kid friendly, kids get to color and ice cream/drink with their meal. Lastly we had live music on Friday which was a plus.

The Boathouse has a dedicated gluten-free menu that is the most extensive in the Cape May/Wildwood area. They have a lovely outdoor covered patio overlooking the water and plenty of parking. The server tried hard to figure out what was or wasn't gluten-free. Just be careful because they do NOT have a dedicated gluten-free fryer so do not order French fries or anything fried. Very nice cocktails.
