Boxer's Cafe

Boxer's is a very small restaurant, so you need to know going in that they have one fryer, and no gf rolls/bread or separate menu. However, they thoroughly understand the need for clean surfaces and concerns about crosscontact / cross-contamination and the wait staff, cooks, and frequently on site owners will help you identify what you cannot eat, what is safe for you to eat as is, and what can be modified for you to safely eat. Today I had a salad with no croutons and ginger vinaigrette dressing, the Cajun burger on lettuce instead of on a roll, and potato salad. Cider on tap and cans/bottles. This was my first time dining out since my Celiac diagnosis, and I could not have felt safer or more reassured. I will always miss the pumpernickel bread and the homemade pies there, but I'm glad to know that I can safely eat at one of my very favorite restaurants.
