Great food and atmosphere. GF items marked on menu. I spoke to the waitress when I walked in and she assured me that my food would be allergen friendly and that it would be brought to the table by herself or the manager. It ended up being served by the manager, who announced that it was allergy safe when he served it. Fryer is gluten free. Multiple fry options. I had the honey truffle rotisserie chicken with truffle fries and a side of carrots. So happy.
GF is not marked on the dessert menu. When I asked the waiter he was uncertain and said he thought the sorbet and panna cotta were GF, but he’d have to check. Apologized for lack of options. I didn’t have him check with the kitchen since I was only asking for future reference.

Great service and attention to allergies. Separate GF fryer. The brunch menu has items that don’t include the GF mark, while the same items in the main menu do.
It was an oversight. The staff were super clear clarifying.

Waiter was super knowledge about GF and cross contamination. Since I was dining with a group, not everything we ordered was GF and he always made sure to say what was GF when bringing out the food which I appreciated as a confirmation that the message got to the kitchen and back. They had a separate fryer and even GF ice cream for dessert!

Excellent experience with so many options. The piri piri chicken was awesome and the portions were also really good for the price. I was also loved the garlic fries — no cross contamination in fryer! Definitely will be back.

The waiter was very knowledgeable about Celiac and told me that pretty much everything on the menu that wasn’t obviously gluten containing (like pasta) was or could be made gluten free! The fryer was gluten-free on my visit (the rosemary fries were awesome). Patio has great heat lamps for outdoor dining!
Update - they just installed a dedicated gf fryer!!!

Be careful here. A friend who is also celiac has eaten here several times with no issue and is more sensitive than I am. However, none of the gluten free options are marked on the menu, so you need to discuss options with the server. Like others have said, I was told almost everything is gluten free with the exception of bread items and fried items. The fryer is not dedicated gf as someone else claimed. We were told the mac and cheese was gf without breadcrumbs and asked to verify they could make it with gf pasta. Server checked with the kitchen and said, yes its gf, its made with semolina. Well thats not gluten free. Asked to verify again and we would take it if it could be made gf. It came out and looked like no gf pasta I've ever used. New server, maybe manager, said no way its gf and took it off the bill. That was nice and my non-celiac friend said it was fantastic. I had the buratta and fig which was good and a bowl of soup that was super salty. They said the chicken was gluten free, but kept saying how much butter is used. Honestly, when the kitchen and server both claim semolina is gluten free, I don't really trust anything they put out. The staff apologized and gave us some sorbet at the end, but it's not a place I'd go back to. They did have a good cider on tap and cool atmosphere. I'll give 2 stars since there appears to be some options and its a nice looking place, but hard to trust as a celiac.

This is my second time trying this restaurant. Both were more or less fails. The first time I was told incorrectly by my server that nothing chicken-focused was GF. Someone reached out to me and corrected that mis-information. So we are a couple of years later, and I wanted takeout. It's a busy place, so I wanted curbside pickup, which is described on the website. So I pull up and call per the instructions. Nooooo, sorry we don't do that. And the website had listed just a couple of things that were GF, but I thought - how is risotto not GF? watermelon salad? So I called. The gentleman yessed me up and down on the phone - yes, everything "except the obvious" is GF - we have all heard that dangerous advice before. And - yes, we will update the website right away, things should be marked correctly on the takeout menu. That has not happened. Anywhoo, we ordered a chicken and the side of risotto, which cost more $66, plus a tip. Both were almost inedibly salty to our tastebuds (especially the risotto), and we are not a particularly low-salt household. So buyer beware on this one.

had a great experience! they stated “Celiac” versus just “gluten free” to communicate to the kitchen. menu isn’t marked, but they advise what’s safe and what’s not if you state what you’d like. may have just been seasonal but had an entire hard cider menu also!!

Great place!! Beautiful atmosphere. Met the manager at the WGBH wine and food fest. He said the owner is celiac and they are used to dealing with food issues. They were outstanding taking my order.

Yummy but very very expensive. They know their gluten free though!!

Got sick here. I was very clear I had celiacs. Proceed with caution.

The menu is small, but much of it is GF or can be made GF. Lovely and thoughtful service. Very popular so you probably want to make reservations

The manager here has celiac- so needless to say, they’re on it when it comes to gluten free dishes. The staff is super knowledgeable and the food is delish. Never had a problem. Highly recommend.
