Review of Brick Street Cafe

Review

I was very hesitant to eat here because this whole place is pure chaos, but we arrived around 7:30pm and we’re exhausted from a day of travel so it is the only option in the hotel. Everything is paperless so you scan a QR code for the menu, and if you have allergies a manager will come have you scan another QR code for an (poorly designed for mobile) interactive allergen menu. I’m also allergic to dairy so the options were.. plain chicken! Shocker, right? They did extra veggies because after closer inspection the executive chef realized they did actually contain dairy. He came out to tell me before making my dish, which I really appreciated. The food was decent.

Breakfast is a family style meal, so again I had trepidations. But they have a laminated sheet that is much easier to read than the QR code menu. They brought out the sausage and bacon on a platter, then everything else out on separate plates (gf waffles, fruit, eggs, two different tots as the regular are fried in a shared fryer but they bake the GF ones, and gf toast.)

It exceeded my expectations, to be sure. And I haven’t felt sick (I get a reaction immediately basically).
