Had Dinner and breakfast at Bricks Family Restaurant in the Legoland Resort Hotel. This is the only dining option in the hotel.
Dinner is served family style, so most of the dishes cannot be modified.
The waitress was accommodating in asking the back for details on menu items. Unfortunately, there just wasn’t a whole lot on offer. We were told they had GF pasta, cauliflower crust pizza, and burger buns.
We opted for the pizza, server told us that the trays the pizza is baked/served on are all shared, but they are washed between dishes.
The mocktail my daughter ordered was served with a twizzler in the drink, we sent it back to have it remade and the waitress was nice enough to bring out gummy worms which she looked up the name brand of and assured us they were gluten free.
Chocolate cake was the dessert option, it was a dense fudge like tart served with berries and whipped cream and was very delicious.
For breakfast, it’s a buffet with typical hotel breakfast options. We were able to speak to a manager who walked through and said what would be safe, but she also offered to make a platter of eggs and bacon in the back and bring it out to our table. They had GF hamburger buns which they warmed and brought to the table as our ‘toast’ option. The manager said the sausage links contained wheat so she brought out the plant-based option instead that was GF. We grabbed some whole fruit and fruit salad from the buffet as well as packaged condiments and drinks.
Overall the staff tried their best to be accommodating, I think the protocols and options aren’t the best but I hope they will improve.
