Gluten free menu including several salad and burger options, and a couple of desserts. We let our server know right away that we were ordering off the gluten free menu, and that it was critical that our food be handled properly due to a “severe allergy” (yes, I know celiac isn’t an allergy but that grabs attention). My salad came out with croutons. Sent back. They apologized. I ordered a bunless burger off the gluten free menu, specifying STILL PREPARE GF—no bun please (I am eating Keto and didn’t want the bun). My burger arrived with crumbs on the plate (clearly bread crumbs...Yes, they probably forgot about my no bun request and put a GF bun on my plate, then removed in haste). At any rate they couldn’t tell me for sure, so that went back too. I very rarely dine out—in two years this is only the 4th place I have tried. Good news, everything tasted great once served properly. My husband got the GF bun and couldn’t believe it was in fact GF. 10/10 on that. My salad was amazing (sans croutons) and my remade burger was just as tasty. I did not get sick. However, it probably would have been best to leave once they got my order wrong. As a celiac I take my health very seriously and the fact that they got both my appetizer (salad) and entree (burger) wrong after I was SO SPECIFIC about my needs is troublesome. I chose to gamble and stayed because they were very apologetic, and my remakes looked fine. Risky? Yes. Will I ever attempt to eat here again? Probably not. They comped my meal without me even asking and were super nice. I unfortunately do not recommend Bru Burger to fellow celiacs based on my experience today.
