AMAZING! This place was so good, knowledgeable and very aware of celiac and precautions. I will 100% visit this place again, and again, and again. It’s not thin crust pizza either, it is Detroit style gluten free. And the pizza is the only gluten free option on the menu.

One of my favorite places to get gluten free pizza. They don't cut the pizza up and send out a pizza cutter if you're dining in. I have ate here many times without any reactions.

Ordered the GF deep dish pizza. Asked if the staff would change gloves and be willing to use toppings in the fridge/cooler that hadn’t been used to help cut down on cross contamination (I ordered mushroom and pepperoni).

Wait staff was very helpful and knowledgeable. The party I was there with ordered other pizzas. The waiter came out and told me he had noticed the same towel they use for normal pizzas being used to pull the GF pizza out. He went and spoke to the manager and they came and told me they did not feel comfortable serving me a possibly contaminated pizza and made a whole nother one. The manager told me he was incredibly serious about the health of his customers and had been certified in some food safety. It did take some more time, but I was very impressed by their commitment to keep my health and me safe.

I will say it was quite funny when the pizza did come though. They usually cook the GF pizza in tin foil that they spray with cooking spray. The cooking staff forgot to spray this one and I couldn’t get it off the tin foil. 🤣🤣 The manager and wait staff were mortified that they went through so much to keep me safe and then I had to peel tin foil off the pizza crust to eat it, but I’m a pretty chill guy and the pizza was so delicious it was worth the little extra effort.

Such a good experience for celiac disease.

Absolutely the best gf pizza I had in all my 15 years of being gf! Be sure to order it well done since it’s a deep dish crust and you will want it cooked all the way through. My husband was happy that they offered dairy free cheese as well. The service was wonderful and everyone is knowledgeable about being both gluten and dairy free. We highly recommend Buddy’s!

We stopped here on our road trip as my family wanted to try Detroit style pizza. To my surprise, I was able to find reviews on this place on this app so I asked the waitress on their cooking precautions. She assured me that they cook the gluten free pizza on tin foil so it doesn’t touch the pan or the oven. They even provide you with your own pizza cutter so there’s no contamination.

Don't know about in-service, but on the door dash app if you want a GF pizza you have to order the small one. I thought the GF crust was a little weird. Everything else about their pizzas is great, though.

Best gluten free pizza I have ever had. Pizza is on foil to avoid contact with pans. Pizza comes uncut to prevent cross contamination. I called when I got a pizza that had been cut and was told not to eat it and they made a new one for free.

Detroit style gluten free pizza was very good. I had no problems.

They have a long history of making the best pizza in Detroit.

My absolute favorite gluten free Detroit pizza! It’s baked in tinfoil to prevent cross contamination and I have never felt sick after multiple visits. Servers are very kind as well!

Buddy’s was awesome! Staff were friendly & totally understood my needs. I was able to get the original Detroiter gluten free & had no issues. I feel so grateful that I could actually participate in a classic tradition despite having Celiac. Absolutely delicious & worth the trip!

Have always had a great experience here. We order it to go or for delivery. They take extra precautions for gluten free including putting the pizza on foil to prevent cross contamination.

The hostess and waiter were not knowledgeable about gluten free precautions but they gladly checked with the kitchen staff. Ordered a gluten free pizza and it came out on tinfoil with its own pizza cutter to limit cross contamination. Very reactive celiac and did not react at all. Pizza was good too. Would return.
