Well… the GF menu is limited and wish I could tell you how the food was, but my server forgot to enter our entree order! Waiting 35 minutes then abandoned the restaurant. The best news was just about 100’ away is a little place called El Callejon that sells arepas and other GF food. It was AMAZING and the food actually showed up. Walk past Buffalo Rose and patronize a small restaurant that values their service reputation!

The atmosphere of the Buffalo Rose is awesome, good vibes and good people! We ordered the nacho skillet (GF) and I had the Holidaily Blonde (GF) - both were GOOD! I’m not sure about cross-contamination but I didn’t didn’t feel sick afterwards.

I’m not celiac. I’ve eaten here a handful of times and it has always been fine. Reasonable GF options and desserts. I like the food and vibe and live music.

Dining at The Buffalo Rose is more than a delightful culinary experience, it is also a trip back in time to the American West just as it was in the late 19th century. A visit to Golden simply isn’t complete without a stop in at The Pulse of Golden Since 1859.
Our beautiful collection of new and recently renovated historic buildings are located in the very heart of downtown Golden, directly beneath the “Howdy Folks – Welcome to Golden” sign, so we’re really easy to find.

If I could give zero stars I would. They have holidaily gluten free beer and when I asked for it I was given coors. The nacho skillet is not actually nachos but bean dip. Items on the menu are marked gluten free but everything is a shared fryer

The service was excellent. I was pleasantly surprised that almost everything on the menu was gluten-free and clearly marked. The good was great. One thing they need to add is gluten free buns for burgers. Highly recommended

The items marked as gluten free on the menu include chicken nuggets and tortilla chips and both are cooked in a fryer with gluten.
I dont trust what is marked as gluten free as they are not.
Waitress was very uneducated about the menu and food preparation.

The Buffalo Rose actually has 2 fryers. All gluten-free items are prepared in the one fryer whereas the other fryer is for glutenous items.

A rough little saloon in downtown Golden. Menu is marked with gf options but notes there is a risk of contamination. Nachos, tamales, wings, and a salad option. Had the chicken tamales! They were good!
