Bush's Family Cafe

There was a short wait for lunch on a Friday at noon. The service was great & fast. There is a separate GF menu with multiple choices. A sample of their No-sugar added baked beans was brought to the table with the beverages. The food was delicious! I had the BBQ Platter (pulled pork) with green beans & mashed potatoes.The server assured me that gloves were changed & other precautions taken to prevent cross-contamination. My husband & I will be back. Their hours are 11am-4pm.

I was so pleased with my lunch at this cafe. I am Celiac, so I called the day before to make sure they could accommodate my dietary requirements. They transferred me to Kim who is the kitchen manager. She told me to make my server aware of my dietary needs and they would have her come to the table to discuss my order. The cafe has a GF menu, but when Kim came to the table, she assured me that she would be the only person preparing my meal. She said she would change her gloves, use clean utensils and cookware. She took my order and brought it to my table. She told me she prepared a fresh salad, confirmed that my dressing was GF, and prepared my plate to avoid any chance of cross contamination. I enjoyed my meal and have had no issues. Kim came back to the table after I had finished eating to check if I needed anything more. I enjoyed my meal and was very pleased with the attention to detail in the preparation. On a side note, the Visitor Center/Gift Shop sells all the varieties of Bush beans. The Museum tells the history of the Bush Family, how the company was started, and how their products are manufactured in the factory across the street.
