Separate GF menu. Wait staff was knowledgeable about gluten free menu and asked if it was an allergy or preference.
I had the red beans and rice with blackened chicken, and my husband had the blackened prime rib. Both meals were delicious! I did not get sick.

I went here all the time for pasta and loved it. It was my favorite place and had lots of options. However, the last two times I have gone I got sick from the food while at the restaurant and had to leave. Worst pains from gluten I have experienced thus far. Thought the first was a fluke but now Im not so sure. These experiences have me scared to go back.

Gluten free menu, great food! Never have gotten sick from here.
Yes
There is a separate and fairly decent sized GF menus and the wait staff, each time we were there, made us feel fairly confident that things would be sure to be gluten free. My son generally gets the cajun, the buns for the burgers taste better than many we have tried, there are additional sides for the gluten free meals that are not offered on the regular menu (granted things like a side salad, but still!).
We have felt more confident here than many places in La Crosse that say they have gluten free yet do not seem to understand celiac.
Yes
The first time we went here. The food and service was great and we experienced no issues. We foolishly visited the next time on a busy Saturday night. The server was very knowledgeable about celiac, but we all got glutened.

This was a favorite restaurant of mine even before I had to go GFree. It continues to impress with a good variety of gluten free options. Even GF pasta dishes !!!
This place is great the server was wonderful understand the need for no gluten very well. The food was amazing could not stop eating even though I was so full
They have a separate gluten free menu and the staff are very helpful. They did give me a side of regular bread (in a separate bag) with my gluten free order, so I’m not sure if the wait staff communicated that I’m celiac to the kitchen staff. I believe the GF entree was safe though.

GF menu, lots of selection. Good food and good service.
I have eaten here many times. The ONLY time I have gotten sick was my own fault. I was ordering off of the gluten free menu but didn't specify to the server who was also taking orders from those that were eating off the regular menu. I can't fault them for that. the food has always been excellent and the servers knowledgeable about gluten free. Last I knew there was a bartender that works there that has Celiac and gave great recommendations on drinks. I'm pretty nervous about eating places, I never feel that way eating here. Now if only they would get a dedicated fryer and make their gator fingers gluten free... one can wish
Very good Cajun pasta made with gluten free penne. Staff very knowledgeable. Will return.

I am a very sensitive celiac. I've been here twice. Both times I got the pasta primavera with the rasta sauce. First time I felt totally fine afterwards and I went back! Second time it was much busier than before (maybe it was more likely to have cross contamination) and I got sick. Very good food. I also tried the gluten free salted caramel cheesecake the first time (also amazing) and had no issues. Great place for the gluten intolerant, they have a whole separate menu! Celiacs.....may be risky, but i would still chance this over many other restaurants.

I ordered the jambalaya pasta. It was good but I wish I had ordered the alfredo instead. I'm extremely sensitive and I didn't even have a slight reaction!! I'll be back.

Had the shrimp Alfredo at the bartenders recommendation. She's a celiac and advises on the menu. Excellent.
Great GF menu. My daughter has Celiac and a severe nut allergy combined with being a very picky eater which makes dining out really hard. Their GF menu provided her many options that looked good to her. She ended up going with the GF Shrimp Penne Alfredo which she loved. They also offer a half order on some of their dishes which is good for kids. Service was great. Our server even came back to tell us that he confirmed with the kitchen staff that the dish was also nut free. We definitely will return when back in town.

Gluten free pasta was outstanding and wait staff took my allergy seriously. Thank you Heather for a great dinning experience!

Separate gf menu. Enjoyed the blackened prime rib with rice.
I am a pretty sensitive Celiac but Have eaten here many times and never had a problem. Pastas and jambalaya are awesome! Blackened chicken/salmon and rice is also great. They do use shared fryers so don't eat the nachos or fries if you have an allergy. It's a popular restaurant right in the middle of DT La Crosse so don't be shocked if there is a short wait. Can also order for pick up.

Great food for everyone! They have a huge menu and a pretty big gluten free menu as well. Loved that they had a kids section on the GF menu❤ My 6 year old son has celiacs and didn’t show any symptoms after hammering his cheeseburger. He said it was the best he ever had! The waitress was great and knowledgeable, said that they cook the burger on foil so it’s not touching anything on the grill and they prepare and handle all GF foods separately. Would definitely go back if we are in the area again!

I’ve been to Buzzard Billy’s twice now with great experiences both visits. I have Celiac Disease and am pretty sensitive, and I was very aware that they do not have dedicated cooking space. However, I’ve never had any issues whatsoever! During my last trip there, I had the BBQ bacon cheddar burger with GF bun and a side of coleslaw. So good! Just let your server know you’re Celiac and you’ll be good to go!
