Visited this place a week ago on our way home from Canada. We arrived 15 minutes before they closed. When My husband and I arrived there were no other customers in the café. I said, “I’m so happy you’re still open… It’s hard to find gluten-free food on the road when you’re celiac.“ I proceeded to order a burger but forgot to tell them I wanted gluten-free, my bad. My husband ordered the chili which was normally gluten-free so the waitress assumed he was the celiac and not me. So I got a burger with a regular wheat bun. Immediately went to the bathroom to throw up and then immediately took activated charcoal and two more for the next two hours. Two hours later I was throwing up for two hours. Lesson learned, make sure you say gluten-free when placing your order! I have stopped here and eaten in the past and was not disappointed but this time not so lucky.

Cannot day enough good things about this place. Cozy diner with pancakes that are so soft and honestly about 16” around. I’ve never seen a bigger pancake. The scrambles, sandwiches, chowder - all good. The chef also gets the issue with Celiac and takes good care of any CC concerns.

GF Traditional Eggs Benedict which comes with 2 perfect eggs, thinly-sliced deli ham, cheese and a huge scoop of hash browns (you can add gf sausage gravy). Everything was piping hot and delish.

I was amazed at the amount of care they took to make sure my food was safe for me. The cook even asked the waitress if the condiments were for me or my husband to ensure I didn't get sick. I've been on the FODMAP diet for 4 years now and have extensive restrictions and they were willing to work with all of them.

Alert! Biz is for sale. So be aware that the eventual new owner may or may not keep up the gluten free goodness.

We came for breakfast to-go. I thought I was going to receive an average omelet, nothing surprising. Wrong! This omelet was unique! The bacon was chopped into tiny bits and cooked into avocado. Delicious!

The staff was delightful. We were able to speak with the friendly owner and learned he is planning to retire. I sure hope the next owner keeps this place Celiac safe!

We were incredibly disappointed after seeing such great reviews. The amount of GF options is fantastic and the reason we decided to go to Cafe Burlington.

Unfortunately, the service left a lot to be desired. We got our first plate of food, waited 10-15 minutes before the second plate, and yet another 10-15 for the third plate. My brother in law had already finished his food before my husband's plate ever arrived.

The side orders of bacon were very fatty and not cooked well. I ordered a GF turkey sandwich. The bread was not at all toasted which left it with little to no flavor and incredibly dry.

Great service and food! Their GF menu items all taste great, and they have GF versions of regular breakfast items (pancakes, waffles, and toast) that are some of the best I've had yet! Will go back for sure.

I am the owner of Cafe Burlington and would like to share some information about our Cafe. We bake gluten free bread that tastes like regular white bread that is light and fluffy. We also make gluten free buttermilk pancakes. Recently we changed our award winning clam chowder to gluten free and are currently working on changing our beer battered fish & chips, crepes, focaccia bread and the many fruit breads we bake in-house. As a result, there are very few items on our breakfast and lunch menus that are not available as gluten free.
