They have gluten free buns for a burger or hot dog, and the manager said the fryer is just for the fries, and even the cheese sauce is gluten free. They were able to change their gloves and clean the stovetop for me. I didn’t get sick and it was good!

They have very limited gf options. There are gf buns for burgers. The fries are no longer fried in a dedicated fryer so they are not safely gf. They are cooked with the veggie burgers. The oil is also shared. The manager did not recommend the fries for gluten free.

It was a little challenging to find someone to ask questions but they did confirm I could get the burger or cheeseburger on a gluten free bun and it was not cooked on same surface as regular buns. Also the French fries are gluten free and fryer just used for fries. They also had certified gluten free Rice Krispy treat and chips available. Food was average for burger and fries but it was nice to have some choices.

Got the regular cheeseburger with a gluten free bun and fries. Double checked with the kitchen staff and the fries are in a separate fryer so they’re completely safe for celiacs. Staff was also very nice and helpful! Food was a little pricey but well worth it. Bun was decent as well, and I did not get sick! Recommend if you’re looking for a quick and safe gluten free meal at the zoo.

Went yesterday for Boo at the Zoo. I looked before and had a very hard time finding anything on the site. Ended up resorting to Google and photos. Came here thinking there were salad options. Was disappointed. I got the roasted autumn bowl. Went to ask them to change their gloves for an allergy. I was told it wasn't gluten free. Ended up being told she would have to remove items to make it gluten free. Took off the 7 grain blend and the lentils. Paid $11 for a salad and I didn't get all the components. Didn't get sick but frustrated. Sent a complaint and my frustrations to the zoo.

I was worried that the zoo wouldn’t have anything for me. Pleased to find that Café del Sol had three GF options on the menu including a burger with a GF bun. The bun was spongy. All GF buns seem to be spongy but hey, it’s a burger I can use to bring meat, ketchup and mustard to my face. Pleased to have it.
