At the Greenpoint location, nothing is celiac safe. All of the baked goods are stored in a shared display case and the gluten-free touches the gluten. They also have a warning sign right on the front of the display case that everything is made in a shared kitchen. If you have celiac disease, don't order anything to eat at Cafe Grumpy.

I stopped in for a cup of coffee and my celiac daughter wanted a doughnut. All the GF options are on the top shelf of the pastry display. I asked the barista where the pastries came from and she knew the bakery and which items were from a dedicated facility. Without my prompting, she offered to get a fresh donut from the back since she said she couldn’t guarantee that the items in the display weren’t cross contaminated since it was later in the day. Wonderful!
Yes
I didn’t try any of there beverages. But while I was there with my husband I did get a gf lemon bread they had. Wasn’t the safest because it was held in the same rack as non gf items. But it was amazingly good. Cute little coffee shop.
