AMAZING! This place is a must if you are visiting Myrtle Beach. Our server, Jeff, was awesome. He started the meal by bringing a gluten-free bread. How rare is it that you actually get bread like every other diner in a restaurant! They have a separate gluten-free menu, but Jeff helped us create a tasting menu so that we could try all the different foods since my daughter had never had German food before. We had the pork schnitzel, Bockwurst, weinwurst, bratwurst, knockwurst, sauerkraut, red cabbage, and German potato salad. All of it was amazing. Our server also brought us three different types of mustards that he said we’re gluten-free. There is a fourth that does have gluten so be sure to ask. We ended the meal with a rich, decadent gluten-free cake. This restaurant was the highlight of our trip. Highly recommend that you go. We will absolutely be back.

We visited this restaurant after seeing positive reviews here. I had the Pork Wienerschnitzel which is cooked in rice flour in a separate space from other dishes. There was GF bread as well. Waitstaff seemed knowledgeable. They had a separate GF menu and a GF dessert.

I enjoyed the gluten-free pork schnitzel with potato salad and steamed vegetables that came with a delicious garlic sauce. The side salad included had a yummy dressing on it. There’s enough left over to have for lunch tomorrow. I highly recommend this restaurant for celiacs.

Had a fantastic experience (again). Went for a late lunch enjoyed toast, salad, bratwurst platter with hash browns and sauerkraut, and the mousse cake for dessert. Everything was delicious and the staff was very knowledgeable and understanding. We go here every time we arein Myrtle and have had good experiences so far. I recommend going during off-peak times so they can be sure to be attentive and avoid cross contamination.

I'm celiac and I came here bc of the reviews. I have a nima sensor to test my food anyway to make sure. I tested the GF chicken schnitzel with saurkraut and the cranberry sauce - came back gluten! Did not eat it! I don't trust this establishment. I wish I could've eaten it. :(

Cafe Old Vienna has an extensive dedicated gluten-free menu. It was six of us who dined at this location. Two in our group are gluten allergic, one was a child with a limited pallet, another was a senior with other dietary restrictions and the other two had no restrictions. As a group we seek out gluten-free restaurants daily. This restaurant was very busy, so I recommend making a reservation especially if there are more than four in your party.
The reason they are so busy - the food is so darn good!!! Our dishes ranged from wursts (sausages) to Schnitzel to Pork Shank with sides of Sauerkraut, Spätzle, Knodle topped with a delicious brown gravy. The beer was excellent as were the desserts. The Apple strudel was amazing. We also had a chocolate mousse dessert with apricot filling that was lovely. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Super yummy food! My first time ever trying a schnitzel and it was delicious! The staff was very knowledgeable and I had no fear of cross-contamination. They also have live music and stay true to the German/Austrian vibe! Come visit here if you get the chance!

The food was delicious! I ordered the pork schnitzel with home fries and potato salad. Prior to the meal they bring out gluten free bread (a piece of GF toast) and a house salad. The GF schnitzel looks much different from the normal schnitzel so I was confident I was not mistakenly given the wrong meal. I had no reaction after dinner.
Side note: make reservations otherwise they’ll turn you away if they’re busy.

We ate dinner there yesterday, it was delicious. I had the Styria Plate, the pork wiener-schnitzel was crispy & yummy. The bratwurst was very good, potato salad was yummy as was the sauerkraut. We were too full for dessert but they had Vienna crepes that were gf that looked scrumptious. My husband got the Roulade which was the special of the day. They put the gravy on the side so I could have a bit. Oh my that was awesome! We will definitely be returning.

Great gf menu but don’t eat the sweet mustard! It has wheat flour in it and I got sick. Making for not a fun vacation.

Outstanding! Gluten free menu and knowledgeable staff. I have eaten here several times and never got sick. If you are in Myrtle Beach definitely try this restaurant.
Excellent experience with GF menu. By chance I ordered the same food as the previous review; except I had the potato salad instead of home fries. Very good and never got sick! I will definitely go back. Everyone else in our party loved the food as well. We lived in Germany for three years and this is very authentic atmosphere. When in the Myrtle Beach area is a must visit. They also take reservations. and have live music.

This restaurant has a fairly complete gluten free menu and our server was quite knowledgeable. I had Pork Schnitzel with red cabbage and home fries. They brought me a slice of gluten free bread before the entree arrived. We will definitely go back when we return to Myrtle Beach in December.
