The most amusingly offbeat interaction with the proprietor of this wonderfully unique coffee stand. A gloriously calm husky hanging out inside, and a terrifically entertaining Swiss gent who prepared our coffees. Don’t expect a straightforward negotiation (if you’re lucky), but you’ll come away with a smile and a great coffee.

Part of a gift store which pointedly sells only things from Europe (e.g. Switzerland) and North America. Nice selection but too sweet for me.
Instead, I go a few blocks away to Askatu Bakery. That is a full-service bakery with a very wide selection.

Best gluten free pastries I've had outside of Europe!

Tasty pastries made with almond flour and delicious mocha. And they don’t double the price for GF items like most other places. Will go back often!
Nice selection of gluten-free pastries, plus many gluten-free items such as crackers and pasta imported from Italy. The owner said there were only two items in the bakery that weren't gluten-free, one of which were croissants from France (I forget the other one), and the rest were all gluten-free. The pastry I got was tasty and reasonably priced, and it gave me a lot of comfort to see only gluten-free pastries out when I was there.
