With gluten and dairy allergies, this is my go to place at the Portland Airport. I've ordered their various Yumm bowls for years, and was happy to see they've expanded their breakfast offerings, to include these Yumm Rancheros. If you don't eat cheese they'll sub avocado, which I love. The photo shows how it looked before I mixed it all up, and it's served on corn tortillas. The ordering process is quick, the help is friendly, the food quality is high and they'reallergy aware. Thumbs up!

So delicious and wonderful! I got the medium original bowl without sour cream and cheese, as I am dairy free too. She asked if I wanted cabbage and carrots, so I said yes to that! Special tray for prep, saw them using a disposable cup to scoop ingredients, marked my ticket as a gluten allergy, AND verbally told staff. Soooo good safe and feeling great. Just go online and google “gluten free cafe yumm” and there’s a whole article on the website to help you out. Go!

When I asked if I could get a particular dish with gluten allergy/celiac precautions she immediately smiled and said “sure!” then followed through, marking it on the ticket and verbally notifying the kitchen. It is so nice to be able to get safe food before a flight.

They were able to make a kids quesadilla on corn tortillas for my 12 year old who has Celiac. They marked her order as gluten allergy & I was told that some of the staff preparing food alado have Celiac, so they are very careful. Lots of other GF options as well. Located in Gate C

Simple rice and beans bowls plus add-on. Nothing spectacular but did the trick especially with nothing else GF friendly within sight.

I love cafe yumm and when I told them I had celiac they seemed to take me seriously and marked that I have an allergy. Just express your needs clearly and hope for the best. I didn't have a reaction!!

Yummy bowls, knowledgeable staff
Assistant manager knew gluten free and instructed the cooks to prepare my meal in a separate area. This is my go-to whenever I’m at the airport.
Yes
I love that there are so many gluten free options here! They have a separate menu to give you, and they have an allergy button they press when you order, which always makes me feel safe. Did I mention the bowls are completely delicious!!???
Yes
Ate here once before and do not recall getting sick. This time, not the case. I asked specific question, was clear about my Celiac Disease and cross-contamination issues, and double check that she would note on my ticket about my severe allergy, which she confirmed. I got gluten-bombed right away. Not ideal pre-flight.

Was awesome and safe. Lots of options. They have GF bread. I got a bowl and soup.
The staff was knowledgeable about gluten free. The food was good. Glad there was something I could eat. I had a bowl with black beans rice chicken and avocado.
Yes
Plenty of GF options, all listed on a specific menu in their allergy binder. Be aware that the breakfast menu seems to be missing from that binder. I asked about the Yumm!lette and my cashier checked with the cooks to confirm that it is GF. She also told me that she marked my order as an allergy so that the cooks would all change their gloves, etc. Overall I felt very comfortable and safe ordering here, and will definitely come back next time I'm passing through PDX!
Bad day @ PDX—-no gf bread @ Cafe Yumm today. Consider eating before passing security. Past experience was good.
Yes
Staff were super helpful w the menu and the food was good for an airport! Super fresh and perfectly ripe avacado in the bowl we had.
I'm used to not having a lot of options while traveling, so I'm pretty pleased with this place. The food was good and the staff was knowledgeable, understanding and friendly.
Yes
Staff was knowledgeable about celiac disease, offered to change their gloves, and had a binder ready with a listing of gluten free options and options for other dietary restriction. Yumm bowl was tasty and filling.

This is a very tasty and safe option for the airport.

Great option at the airport!

I have eaten at the airport Cafe Yumm three times without getting sick. I'm a dietitian who also has celiac disease. The employees aren't particularly knowledgeable, but if you explain your needs clearly, they will mark your order as "allergy". They change gloves before preparation. I always get the traditional yum bowl.
Yes
Great for lunch. I crave the Yumm sauce!
Yes
They continued to try to give me a wheat bun saying it was gluten free. They thought that every bun was gluten free. Obviously I will not be returning. I was too afraid of getting sick to eat the burger I actually got.
They really seem to understand gluten free. They have a binder with their gluten free menu. They even had gluten free soups which I could of tried, but I went with an original bowl with chicken. They have many organic and non gmo ingredients!

Just got takeout and asked for gluten free and careful care for celiac and halfway through I could tell it wasn’t. 😟 super bloated now, tummy feels hot. I called, the woman I spoke with really nice and assured me she made my dish personally… even cooked my tofu in a separate pan. No gluten in anything I had. Idk how that happened but it did.

Went in to order, asked if the sauce was gluten free and explained that I have Celiac. Was told that it is but that there was no way they could guarantee that there would be no cross contamination.

I’ve been eating here consistently for over a year, and have never experienced a problem. I’m pretty sensitive, and so far, no issues. A great option for healthy take out. Whole, filling options for carnivores, and vegans alike, too.

I used to be able to go here. Unfortunately, the last two times I have tried to eat here I have gotten next level sick from their food, in the middle of my work day.
I should have known the last time I ordered. I placed my typical order with all the noted allergies vegan, and no Yumm Sauce and the order came out with Yumm Sauce on top. I took it back and they said they would remake it but did not want to remake the order or confirm the allergies (since that is easier tha explaining celiac). I insisted and mentioned that the reason for my insistence was that cross-contamination or a lack of glove change and preparation precaution would lead to a reaction for me. They clearly did not understand or take precautions.
I was sick within the next hour and then for the next week.
Sad to say I will not eat here again. It isn’t worth it.
