This place is awesome!! They are very careful with my food. They usually have several types of gf bread. I have been there at least 30 times. I went through breast cancer and during treatment I was very weak. My husband would bring me here because I have so many choices. Service is great. Peter takes your order and clearly marks the ticket so there are no issues. I highly recommend Calabash Deli.

Worst gluten free place to eat..rude staff.....They do not change gloves so very bad cross contamination. The food is mediocre at best. Staff is not aware of where gluten is in their food. They do offer gluten free bread which is the udi's brand.. The deserts were horrible! The blueberry muffins tasted like dirt.. This is by far the worst experience I have ever had. The burger tasted like a over done sausage patty. This place is NOT celiac friendly at all. Way over priced for the food for what they offer!. Go to Kroger buy the meat cheese and gluten free bread make food your self..This is much safer and better experience. .The best place for gluten free sandwich and burger is Cheese Burger in Paradise.or Red Robin .great place for desert is Menchies frozen yogurt!

I got the Calabash club on gluten free bread. They asked if I had an allergy and I said yes so they prepared in a different area. Only one sandwich option that day, but sounds like they usually have more. I’m local so will definitely be back.

Outstanding. They had GF bread options and said they prepare in a separate area. The sandwich was delicious and stacked high. A real find.

Read about this deli on this app. They offer variations of their sandwiches with GF bread choices. I had the Calabash Club and our celiac son had the roast beef melt on the GF bun. They change gloves and use a separate area (and toaster) for the GF bread. Kid said it’s the best sandwich he’d ever had. Hubby and other kid ordered with traditional bread.
Will advise that coming when it’s less busy helps to be able to ask questions without holding up the line. But the gent helping us was incredibly patient and helpful.

I haven’t had a complete confirmation of Celiacs yet, but that’s the tentative diagnosis. My Dr. wanted me to go ahead and start with a gluten free diet while waiting on test/procedure results. I had been eating at this place for months prior as a regular and when I had to switch to gluten free the staff was extremely helpful and directed me to foods there that I could eat and even prevented me from ordering things that would be cross-contaminated. I’m just getting started and figuring it all out, so that’s been incredibly helpful and appreciated. They have been wonderful about it all. They changed gloves, completely cleaned workspaces, used a separate gluten-free toaster, etc. I’ve really appreciated their efforts as eating out with coworkers is proving to be a difficult challenge and this place has made it much less stressful.

I had a breakfast sandwich on a gluten-free roll and it was fantastic
Second time going to this place. Once last August and again yesterday. No problems either time. Person taking my order was very knowledgeable about gluten and celiac. I had the chicken salad on toasted multigrain GF bread. I will go back on future trips to MB. Giving a 4 star and not 5 since not a dedicated facility.

Multiple types of GF bread, and they have a dedicated GF toaster! Staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. Breakfast sandwich was great!
Pretty good. I got a club sandwich on gluten free white bread. The meats and cheeses are Boars head. It gets very busy at lunch time.

Multiple gf bread options and both soups today were gf. Person taking order knew the menu and asked about levels of sensitivity
Fantastic place, staff knowledgeable, made our food in separate place. Love coming here year after year.
Gluten free bread, bagels, rolls, gluten free soups! very nice owner! Highly recommend
Extremely limited gf options.
We really liked this place, they have so many gf bread choices I couldn't believe it! Also, they were really nice, I wanted a veggie panini and since they didn't have any gf (because they pre make them) they offered to make some veggies right there on the spot for me! The sandwich was delicious... my daughter had a gf triple honey sandwich and really enjoyed it as well. They even have sweet gf treats! Very happy to have found them!

Staff was super knowledgeable and friendly. They ask about celiac and use separate area for prep. The best part is that they offer a variety of gluten free breads and desserts!
great gf choices. friendly knowledgeable staff. will definitely be back.
I had a good first time experience here. They have whole grain or flatbread options that are both gf. They also asked if I have celiac when I ordered, so they seem very aware of making sure the sandwich doesn't get cross contaminated. I would definitely go back!
