Staff is very friendly and helpful when you ask for gluten free crust. California Pizza Kitchen’s gluten free crust is gluten free certified. The crust is pretty great, and they have a wide range of toppings. There is a somewhat separate kitchen space for the gluten free pizzas, however I cannot say it’s 100% celiac safe.
The gluten free menu was kind of lacking, only having pizza options and like a grilled chicken option plus salads, but I just got a plain pie. Was nice because a manager has to oversee and cook the entire gluten free meal and she came out with the pizza letting me know that. My only problem was that it was overpriced ($16 for a small cheese pizza) but I guess that’s expected in the middle of Los Angeles.
Yes
Eaten here 2x and have not gotten sick. The crust does taste gluten free (find me a gluten free crust that doesn't taste gluten free), but it's what's on top of the crust that is the real deal.

Impressed that you could ask for their certified GF pizzas on the kids menu. Our coeliac daughter was very happy with her cheese pizza which came out with a GF flag by a differed server with gloves on. No ill effects. It has been very hard finding safe and appealing choices for her on our travels in America so definitely a happy customer.

It’s always a risk at pizza places that aren’t dedicated GF, but we felt assured that the staff takes good precautions to avoid cross contamination here. And the pizza was very tasty.
