Visited Saturday, 9/9/23 for lunch. Yes, many items are marked gf. I ordered the Calypso Lunch Bowl with Jerk Chicken. I specified I was celiac and they wrote that on their ticket... they assured me it would not be cross contaminated. Our table was appalled by the clothing of one of the waitresses, half or more of breasts exposed, tight leopard pants on a quite hefty body. If she had waited on us, we would have left...GROSS!!! The food was mediocre and the 6 others with me were not caring for their food either. Much food left on the plate. I started getting ill within 2 hours and haven't recovered yet on 9/11/23. The menu and restaurant looked like a great place to eat... now I know why we were the only customers there. I used this app to choose Calypso... but it failed me this time.

We ordered entirely too much food but omg it was all so good. The empanadas and pork were my favorite. I may be taking a road trip from Indiana just to eat at this place again. Highly recommend.

Absolutely amazing. Clearly marked GF items, and courteous staff. GF Empanadas, I mean c’mon, 1st ever seeing that, and yum! Highly recommended.

It was amazing! Everything was very clearly marked on the menu and the staff was great when we told them we had gluten allergies. Our waiter wasted no time in telling us all of the things they do to keep us safe (separate areas of the kitchen, dedicated fryer, etc) and double checked with us when she brought our food out

My daughter and I are both dairy free and I am gluten-free/celiac and we had an amazing experience at Calypso! The menu is very clearly marked what is GF/vegan and the staff was very knowledgeable about the ingredients in everything. I highly reminded them empanadas!

I was super excited as I’d heard great things, however I was not a fan. The food was just okay - the water was warm (no ice) and our server not very attentive.

Love the Yuca Fries, Shrimp & Chorizo, Beef Empanadas, Jerk Chicken Wings, Aoili, Slaw and coconut rice! Very safe! Separate GF fryer! Can’t say enough good things about this wonderful little restaurant with an extraordinary GF menu! I’ve never gotten sick!

This is our favorite local restaurant! It's small and cozy and the vibe is laid back and relaxed, so come here when you have time to enjoy the meal and conversation. So many gluten free options, but the beef empanadas with chimichurri and aioli are our favorite appetizer. Mojo pork is my go-to entree, although I prefer the island slaw instead of rice as a side. The grilled plantains that come with it are sweet enough to be dessert! We go here at least once a week and it's great to have so many gluten-free options.

Wow! Delicious food, and so many GF options! I had the jerk shrimp, and it was delicious! I'm so tired of going to restaurants and there's only a couple of GF options and it's just the same old, same old. Totally not the case here! There were so many GF options to choose from! And there were four desserts on the menu, and two were GF. I had the rum and cinnamon fried plantains, which was very good, but my son had the GF vegan chocolate pudding w coconut, and it might be the best chocolate pudding I've ever had! We are definitely going back!

Also, as a side note, I was really impressed w how clean the place was. They made it a point to say that they sanitize everything for COVID precautions, and they even have no touch menus too.

Mojo Pork was AMAZING and the sweeter plantains that came with it were to die for! The plantains appetizers were also amazing (not the same sweet kind that fame with the mojo pork). I also enjoyed the jerk pork but would skip out on the ropa vieja next time. Prices were very reasonable. We ended up ordering a ton of food while there and some extra to go as well!

Menu labeled the dishes that were vegan and gluten free. They have a dedicated fryer for everything gluten free. Food was delicious and I will definitely have to come back. First time having Caribbean food and it did not disappoint

Staff and kitchen are very knowledgeable about gluten free. Most of the menu is GF so we ordered lots of dishes to share around the table. There were a couple of GF desserts and the drinks were tasty. We felt very safe eating here!

Amazing! Delightful! Safe AF! We did a double date here for Valentines and the food was amazing - amazing. Drinks aaaaah :) - cane sugar rum Cachaça. So many dishes that are safe. Dedicated fryer. Gluten free empanadas (get the beef, not so much the chicken). They know 20+ ways to prepare a plantain. Dessert was amazing too. Did I say it was amazing?

Fantastic food! Almost the entire menu is gluten-free. I called beforehand to make a reservation and I mentioned I was a celiac and asked about cross-contamination and they said there is no cross-contamination. The gluten-free food was delicious and celiac-safe.

Dedicated fryer! Owner has a sister with celiac so they get it. So great to have curry again, fried plantains and even a rum drink. Many choices and did not get least bit sick. Will be back.
