Really disappointed with gluten free items at wonderland. The online allergen list says there are gf chicken fingers and French fries and gf pizza. When I called to confirm they are made in a separate fryer, I was told there is cross contact.
I was advised to email the park to request a “food exception” so that I could bring my own food into the park. I’m glad I was able to bring my is food but it is frustrating a) there are claims items are gf that aren’t and b) that a park this size can’t make the safety of a couple items a priority in one spot in the park.
If you’re planning on going, send an email to the park and make sure you use “food exception” in the title so they respond quickly. Then you’ll be able to bring in any food you like!

Researched gluten free food options on the website before going. I went to the Backlot Cafe for gf chicken fingers and was told they did not have any. I then ordered the gluten free pepperoni pizza which was handed to me with a piece of garlic bread on top. Once I got a new pizza, I ate 2 pieces before I realized I would have been better off not having any lunch at all. My stomach is so bloated I look like a beach ball.

It's very confusing to find gluten free options here. In the healthy grab and go market they had 2 gluten free sandwiches (Chickpea salad or turkey) which were labeled "gluten free" but it said it "contained Wheat". Then I went to the backlot restaurant and they had gluten free chicken tenders (but I'm vegetarian) so the only other option for me was their "gluten free pizza" but even more confusing was it said it came with a garlic bread slice. Because I was weary I asked if the garlic bread it comes with is gluten free and they said no... I don't understand why the meal would come with that if it's not gluten free, I'm glad I asked. I took a chance with the chickpea salad sandwich that said it "contained Wheat" and I seemed to be fine but it was very confusing and scary finding food to eat. I recommend finding a way to bring your own food because they will charge you about $20 just to take a chance on something with confusing labels and homestly no one I asked had any idea if the food contained gluten or not and couldn't give me a straight answer. Sketchy.

It was very difficult to get information before our visit but they do have GF options. Note - you are able to bring in your own food if you request an exception first by emailing security at least 48 hours in advance at: [email protected]. Strangely they do not post that info on their website, but I called guest services to ask. Their website lists some gluten free options, but the Pizza Pizza restaurant wasn't listed as an option. I called guest services and they said it doesn't provide gluten free pizzas at the Canada's Wonderland location. They also would not provide me with any of the phone numbers for the restaurants, so I was not able to call ahead to ask about gluten free options. **Update - I visited the Backlot Cafe, they serve gluten free chicken fingers and fries from a dedicated fryer, and the servers told me they have been trained in preparing gluten free, they change gloves and use dedicated utensils etc. Also found Lays chips at the souvenir store and also GF candies. See photos attached.
