Review of Canale's Restaurant

Their gluten free pasta is pretty much the only thing I felt safe eating and even that I felt like I was taking a chance, which I hate to do. I asked if the pasta would be done in a clean pot/fresh water and the server said she would “make sure” which makes me wonder what their usual policy is. But it was tasty and I had no ill effects.

I asked for no croutons on my salad but none came on any of the side salads so I don’t think croutons are a part of the side salad. I would still recommend asking though.

What struck me as interesting/disappointing is that I almost got their Delmonico steak, which is on the menu with the following description: “14 Oz choice cut served on a sizzling platter.” That’s it. What came out for another member of my party was a delicious looking steak with 2 crispy fried onion rings on top. Which he did not order special, so they were a part of the menu item but not listed on the menu.

So I would say that if you get the pasta, just ask to ensure that it’s cooked safely. And if you get the steak, double check that it’s not going to come with fried onion rings.
