Very good. Great wait staff. They assured me that they could accommodate my needs. Can't wait to go back. Very Celiac friendly
Great job by manager and Diane our waitress to find us gluten free and onion free. Everything was so fresh.
This place was fabulous! One of the best Mexican restaurants I've ever eaten at. Lots of GF options, plus vegetarian and a couple vegan options too--which was a plus for me. Our waitress was very knowledgeable which is always reassuring when you need to eat GF.
Food is excellent but staff are not trained. Three staff told me "they believed" the chips and salsa were GF. When I said I needed to know for sure they said chips were, only 1 sauce was.
My husband and I visited this restaurant for the first time last weekend after finding it on Find Me Gluten Free. It was AMAZING. Their menu was very easy to read and our waitress was helpful. They have several gluten free options clearly listed on their menu. I highly recommend Cantina Laredo and cannot wait to go back!
Love it ;) We always go here when we go to Branson on the Landing. Our favorite place to be!
Delicious and creative gluten free food! It was a nice treat to eat a meal with variety & wonderful flavor!! I had the artichoke & avocado enchiladas. Chips & salsa are gluten free. Definitely recommend!
Quite a few menu items marked GF on menu. The chicken fajitas were very good, but the refried beans and flour tortillas served with it were not GF. When I questioned it, they brought out corn tortillas and offered a side dish of black beans (I was charged for these). Chips and salsa (mild only) are GF. Excellent food, but I did have a reaction to it; possibly from picking up the tortillas.
Chips, queso, guacamole...all yummy and many GF options.
Awesome!! The menu has the GF options marked. Had the guac made fresh at your table. Tried something new per the servers recommendation, avocado and artichoke enchiladas and they were so yummy! Seriously the BEST meal I've had in a long time!! I would give six stars if I could!!
Very stressful at first to order. But in the end the food was amazing! I got a salad!
staff was great. Knew exactly what would be an issue. I react very badly to the slightest gluten but I was fine with tacos de barbacoa and de pollo. flan for dessert. Food was fantastic. Real treat to eat out. Rarely do anymore...
Fabulous. gf items noted on menu.
Great place to come and eat! The general menu denotes gluten free items with a triangle. They also have flan that is gluten free for dessert.
I do not think new staff is trained very well on allergies and there is definitely cross contamination. Yummy, but I got sick.
There's a dedicated fryer for the corn chips, and the menu clearly lists what items can be made gluten free. I got tacos with beans and rice, which came to the table quickly, and was tasty enough. The prices are reasonable.
I had the gluten free menu. told the wait staff three times I had celiacs. they asked me if any of the ingredients in my dish were gluten free or not.... as if I know what's in the sauces? the kitchen procedures for Gfree prep...? perhaps not suprising that I got sick before we even left the restaurant. had heard good things. dissappointing
Staff was super knowledgeable and the manager even over-saw the food prep. Last review was from 2011, they've wised up since. They told me the corn tortillas were fine, but still got a taco salad, super good.
I ate at the one in Terminal B. The menu is marked with a few option to ask your server about if you want GF. Chips are fried in contaminated oil and even the corn tortillas used in several of the GF labeled meals are dipped in same oil to make them soft. Waitress was confused when asked what really was GF for someone with an allergy. Ended up with a mango and chicken salad which was very good but I was disappointed in the lack of genuine GF options.
Quick & good. Brisket tacos, black beans, chips
Although the restaurant has gluten free options, it is not Celiac friendly. Our server said they could not guarantee that even the gluten free options on the menu were not cross-contaminated. The tortilla press was used for both flour tortillas and corn tortillas.
Awesome Mexican food! I highly recommend. Every time we come to DFW airport we hope we have a lay over so we can enjoy the food. They have an extensive amount of gluten free menu items with chips and salsa to munch on before our meal.
Great gluten free Mexican food, I like their fish tacos 😊.
So I just discovered this gem and am in love. We went there on a Friday night. While our waiter was not the most knowledgeable on what parts of a meal might contain the gluten he kept saying he would ask and when he turned the order in he would type it in as GLUTEN-FREE. (I was asking about a dish that had some type of cream over it) While it was not very busy, except for Chipotle, I have NEVER gotten my food as fast as it came out here. I would guess 5 minutes but that just sounds preposterous. I got shrimp and spinach stuffed chicken. WOW. Talk about melt in your mouth delicious. Hubby got carne asada. It was perfection. I got a couple of sangria margaritas even though I didn't see them on the menu. They have a lot of margarita flavors. Their chips came with two different red salsas that were both delicious and had that "made in-house" flavor. There was a live band playing some latin type music. Selena came to mind. I was extremely sad that more people were not enjoying this restaurant that night. Check it out! The food was amazing!
New menu with quite a few new options. I still stick with the Taco Barbacoa. Yum
Love that the chips were gluten-free. The server was very friendly and helpful. Even the kitchen manager came to the table and was very nice. The ahi tuna tacos with guacamole on the side was fantastic and the flan was really good too. I would highly recommend this restaurant.
I was not completely comfortable here as a newly diagnosed celiac. First, the manager could not find the gluten free menu. When asking the waitress about the seasoning in the tableside guacamole (which was DELICIOUS) she assured me it had no dairy. Well, that's lovely, but I don't have an issue with dairy. There were only 2 entrees marked gluten free on their regular menu, both shrimp dishes. So I ordered the chili relleno with shrimp. The cheese they use on it has flour in it, which I didn't realize, so I picked at a sad, dry stuffed pepper with no cheese. The servers were sweet, but I got the vibe that they are not completely prepared for a customer like me. Every time something was brought out from the kitchen, I got a little nervous. I also didn't advocate for myself enough and did not ask if they have seperate prep spaces, etc. for the GF food. Which was my mistake.
Was a very good meal. There are gluten free options on the main menu indicated by a gray triangle, only two of the main courses have the gluten free symbol. I asked our waitress and she said any of the taco options could also be made gluten free by changing to corn tortilla. I chose the chicken taco gf and it was awesome! Several of the apps have the gf triangle.
Not Celiac friendly- "gluten free" chips are fried in another frier that they dip corn-wheat blend tortillas. Very limited selection if you don't like shrimp. Not concerned with cross contamination, felt like I was bothering staff with my needs. Update: I got the food to-go because of a sneaking suspicion of cross contamination and it was too late to cancel the order. I would rather have the consequences happen at home rather than on the drive home. Sure enough I got sick. NOT SAFE FOR CELIACS.
I went to this place based on the great reviews (thanks everyone!) Their menu has changed and many things that we were once GF are no longer. The options for me were limited as I don't eat shrimp and most of the GF dishes were with shrimp. The guacamole was awesome, the service was great, but that was all I had. I could not even eat tacos or fajitas.
Fantastic Ahi Fish Taco appetizer comes with guacamole on the side and pickled onions. Service was efficient, timely, and friendly for our lunch. All gf items on Monday marked with grey triangle on the menu. Gf flan dessert and mango chicken excellent as well.
I have celiac and have eaten here many, many times with no problem. They are very knowledgeable about cross-contamination and the regular menus is clearly marked regarding GF items. It's one of the few places where the chips are gluten free, as they are fried in a dedicated fryer!!
Came here after reading FMGF reviews. Upscale Mexican. Best Mexican cuisine ever tasted! Would describe as upscale Mexican. Located in River North area of downtown. Must have 60 + tables, but spacious and can hear yourself talk. Great cocktails (margaritas and Mojitos). Guacamole made from scratch at table- best ever had. More than half of menu is marked as GF friendly. Had a GF Fajita chicken salad w/ black bean, avocado, lime vinaigrette dressing with tortilla strips. Outstanding. Has a kids menu. Would recommend as a date spot and a family friendly place. Can't wait to come back!! Great vibe.
The service was extremely slow, it took 20 min just for him to take our order. and when we asked his thoughts on the gluten free items he wasn't really sure and kept saying he "believed" the items were.. which it didn't make me feel safe and he probably wasn't aware of cross contamination either. No one we spoke to seemed super knowledable about gluten free. plus the food was absolutely horrible, not just mine but we had a table of 6 and no one had anything good to say, the food seemed old it wasn't even warm like it had been sitting out for quite sometime. I don't recommend this place nor will I ever be back.
Had several GF choices on the menu. My wife really liked her choice. Only close call was, Chips and salsa at the table was very good, but had 2 choices. One wasn't GF, but we hadn't asked in time. The guacamole was also GF, made fresh at your table. Would definitely eat there again.
